King Franz Joseph is Dead, and with him a Queen rises to the throne of Austria.
Though Franz's reign was short and not as glorious as Leopold's it was respectable and as an Agrarian he bought the Empire into economic prosperity, even in the old Ottoman provinces.
The new Queen, Maria Theresia, while still a bit of an Agrarian, was a Patron, and immediately upon taking the throne began pushing for a powerful navy, and even calling for the downsize of the army in order to support the Austrian Kriegsmarine.
Not long after taking the throne, the Augustus left the Aegean wit the main fleet, the Empires first Second Rate Ship of The Line.
Elsewhere in the empire, Carcass shot was finally acquired by Isidor, allowing our howitzers to rain hot, fiery death on enemy troops.
And a rather dodgy looking priest has begun to wander around the empire converting people.
The queen has also began a sort of land hopping campaign, The main army went first to Naples, forcing a surrender, then on to Sardina, brushing aside the meager garrison, then onto Tunis, Brushing aside that garrison, eventually culminating in a battle near the Tunis border.
The battle was short and quick initially, as Austrian lines charged their howitzers as carcass shots rained on their lines.
With most of the Spanish army routed the rest took cover in some of the buildings, turning the battle into a siege as the cannons were moved forward and then opened fire on the garrisoned buildings.
Eventually after a Grenade attack and assault by line infantry, the Spanish were routed.
Leading to victory.
In other news, unrest and clamor for reform is growing in Vienna, the new Queen is not helping matters, with only the Northern guards relatively close, a revolt could be disastrous for the Monarchy.
