Austria, 1700.In the Year 1700, Austria was at peace, Even their mortal enemies, the Ottomans were too busy with Internal problems and Russians to bother them. However, she is surrounded by potential enemies and its clear that soon she will be thrown into yet another war.
The Empire is ruled by Leopold I,
A rather... interesting man... sometimes...
Anyways lets meat some of the important men of this empire.
There is Johannes Despotavic, head of Austria's School of Interior Design and Military Technology, he has been ordered to find a way to attach a knife to a musket, A nearly impossible task I say!
And
Abraham a Sancta Clara, who, although he experienced quite the trauma when he was a kid, is an accomplished missionary, who is currently heading to Silesia to help bring those protestant rebels back under the rule of the One true god!
The Austrian main army is lead by Prince Eugen Von Savoyen, who has gathered most of the armed forces around Austria and Hungary and is preparing to reform the army into something more capable of destroying any army. Though not willing to outright disband the more obsolete pikemen in the army, he has sent them north to Silesia where they will serve at least a temporary role until a more professional army is formed.
In the east, Guido Von Stahemburg and his small Armygroup watches over Transylvania, (Rumours have it he's a vampire)
In the North, Ludwig Von Baden-Baden watches over Silesia with an unnerving stare.
Now onto infrastructure.
Austria is far from strong on the internal front and in a bold move Leopold I committed the treasury to improving this situation, with cobbled roads being built across two provinces, farms being built in east Hungary and iron workshops being upgraded in Silesia. Bringing the treasury to all time lows, and the King's popularity with the people, although that could be because of the garrisons being pulled out of the towns...
Naval Report.
The Austrian Empire currently has no ships, however a growing number of people are calling for ships to be built to watch the one trading port of the Austrian empire.
