Healthy Or Fat
« on: November 24, 2007, 04:02:00 pm »

I've just realised that my dwarves consume roast composed mostly of dwarven syrup. That can't be healthy. What if certain events or habits such as the same food over and over had adverse health effects while other things such as a balanced diet and decent sleep could improve your dwarves general wellbeing. If diseases are ever implemented a dwarf's health could influence how nasty a particular illness is and how fast they recover from it. Active dwarves might have certain caracteristics added such as agile or strong but when they get lazy these vanish slowly.

So, good idea or bad?

y fortress is a truly horrible place to be. Imagine what other forts must be like if dwarves still imigrate there.

It would be a nightmare to play fortress mode.

Dwarf cancels Bring Item to Stockpile: Has scurvy.

Personally I'd prefer this waited until dwarves were a bit smarter about doing things.

Seriously, do you think that a species whose beer can be minced is going to worry about malnutrition?

Maybe for humans, once human fortresses are officially supported, but dwarves don't seem like the type to be worrying about their health.
