Yes, a pure wrestler. I want to strangle some monsters.
If I die I will be making a lvl 14 throwing character... if I start out with some socks.
I am assuming you start out with basic lvl. So level 14 would be legendary +1?

hey I wonder if you could make some announcers (a dwarf with High observer and a Bloodman on the same team) stick them in a rock wall room that hangs above the whole arena with a window for them to look through(either through editing the arena file to have it or W+L the area highest Z left once and build downward). assume one of them and get live feed on the action.

This would be a great situation to use a Livestream broadcast. I occasionally watch a semi-dedicated DF channel that runs on the weekends, and it looks pretty great.

OK so, df2010 is out and I've been on vacation for a while. Just got home actually. Here's the problems I see so far, or should I say issues.

Need to revamp pricing for weapon and armor since you can't effect quality.

Combat is heavily borked and has lots of bugs (invincible undead, blunt weapons that are as effective as nerf bats, stabbing someone 150 times without killing them etc)

Unstable releases which may potentially change in the very near future.

So, I'm going to hold off on starting the arena proper for a while, till we can get these balance issues fixed, either by modding or official release. What I will do is have some exhabition matches for the fuck of it as we get things ready.

Makes me wonder how they managed to give all those dorfs arrows. From what I've seen you can't spawn more then one arrow at a time and you can't create quivers. Maybe it was modded.
