Microsoft OneNote?
« on: March 06, 2010, 03:05:08 am »

Is Microsoft OneNote worth learning to use? It seems like it might be a pretty good piece of software, but I've never heard anybody even mention it before. I've had it on my computer for years, since it came bundled with Office, but I've never tried to do anything with it before. Better than using notepad files for note-taking?

It's very good for organising stuff and auto-saves, plus it's pretty much the same as Microsoft Office to use except for the different tabs thing.

If you code, use Notepad ++ instead.

At what point in any part of the OP's post or the subsequent reply was using OneNote to code in ever even remotely mentioned?

Anyway, they push OneNote here pretty heavily for education. I have to say, for a piece of software I'd never heard about before, I can't imagine how I've gone this long without it. It's pretty much the perfect note-taking software.

Also, it lets you use your virtual pen to virtually highlight stuff or draw rude pictures, which is fun.

...draw rude pictures...

And why do you need OneNote for that?

It is my only outlet for drawing rude pictures all over my homework that doesn't involve drawing rude pictures all over my homework.

I shall have to keep its potential for rude pictures firmly in mind. I imagine a few ninjas stabbing particularly annoying homework assignments here and there would make me much happier about life.

Now I just need to learn to draw stick figure ninjas.
