you sure we don't have any shells? I brought some turtle just in case...check around, there may be some rockfish shell lying around forbidden somewhere.

also, long live the bureaucracy: getting nothing done and still getting paid since the birth of modern government.

What is with the fell moods... Two in one succession game but never one in my own fortresses. *Shrugs* Oh well...

I haven't read the entire game, but when people are DYING from lack of water, the other who share homes with them aren't generally happening.

(I just read the first page, the page behind this, and this one).

It also looks like you guys are in a tantrum spiral.

just as an offside, did you know that there is a requirement for a fell mood?  The dwarf has to be miserable.

Heheh, We have some tantrums but not a tantrum spiral just yet. Since some migrants came we should be fine since they currently aren't friends with any of the dwarfs from before.

Moods have a timer set in; at the start, it's at 1000, and it goes down 11 or 12 times a day.  Once it reaches zero, when it would normally be incremented down, a 500-sided die is rolled to determine if a strange mood will occur.  This means there's about a 50% chance of a strange mood each season after the timer has reached zero.  Still only a chance though, it could be much rarer.

So of all the things you can do in DF, it's the fractal artifacts that make you think dwarves are crazy.

Never mind the magma falls, the atom smashers, the cog-and-axle turing-complete computers, or the colonizing of Hell itself... all those are fine, but man, those recursive artifacts! Where do they get such ideas?

Remember, the default settings in DF2010 is for like 200+ layers.  try turning down the layers if it's lagging.  also, whose turn is it now?
