We all die eventually, though more so for dwarfs.

An insane child kills the remaining group of spine injured dwarfs shortly before starving to death himself. Thus ended Weightknives. May the souls of the fallen rest in every level of Armok's 1000 hells.

So of all the things you can do in DF, it's the fractal artifacts that make you think dwarves are crazy.

Never mind the magma falls, the atom smashers, the cog-and-axle turing-complete computers, or the colonizing of Hell itself... all those are fine, but man, those recursive artifacts! Where do they get such ideas?

Things really took a turn for the worst. Build lots of traps and get every able bodied dwarf to increase our  created wealth.

It is now late autumn, and we have 19 survivors.  Several of which are permanently bedridden.

How many did we have before the ballista "accident"?

Hey, that was an accident.  I didn't set the ballista to fire at will, or the wall to be smoothed =P

And over 100.

We now have a berserk child going through the barracks killing everyone with nerve damage.  Population: 3

The settlement finally bit it.  I had two dwarves with nerve damage left, and they starved in mid-winter.

There's the link for the save file to reclaim.

Hit "Start Playing," then R to go to the reclaim site.
