Oh. You provided me with the illusion that you cared. I am stricken - STRICKEN, I SAY! - with immense sorrow, yet I recognize it's not your fault for the miscommunication. I shall wallow now... in misery...... and woe. =(

No, it is too late. You have made Lord Grimith sad. Now you must die.
The MetalSlimeHunt stabs The Diabolus in the upper body with the Steel Carving Knife!
The flesh is torn! The muscle is torn!
The heart is torn apart!
The Diabolus gives in to the pain.

I'm afriad you're too late. I decided to see how effective Axes are in LCS after my last post in this thread. Oh, they're effective all right. I killed a firefighter with an axe, and then another one broke my neck with his. Got out of the trial, but now my founder was wheelchair bound.

Preface

I created my Bay 12 Games Forum account nine and a half months ago, on March 05, 2010. Shortly thereafter, I made my first post in a new topic. My purpose? To share narrative, screenshots, and videos showcasing my favorite Bay 12 game: Liberal Crime Squad. Until that morning, no other game had inspired me to get on with it. I wouldn't know for many days after whether doing a "Let's Play" was a good idea. I was nervous - irrationaly so. Nervous I would come across as absurd and stupid. Nervous over my inexperience with recording software. Nervous my writing, one of my better skills, would not give this topic any merit. True, I could have continued to play this game and enjoy it regardless of my experiences here, but I am often tense when submitting myself for peer review, particularly regarding a creation into which I've put my heart. I cared about this game, cared about writing a narrative for it, and I hoped, somehow, you all would care too.

As it turns out, some of you did. So many cared, in fact, that I considered recording myself playing other games in addition to LCS. My efforts - located on my YouTube channel - have been sparse, but they still exist, a testament to the power of viewers. Yes, when I play video games, I do it with similar banter; I wouldn't have continued to record and write, though, were it not for the people who are entertained by such efforts. The concept of such people existing flummoxes me. Honestly, what's wrong with all of you? Look at everything which exists in our world. Look at the millions of books written for public consumption since man got the bright idea of printing words on bound sheets of paper. Television. Newspapers. Podcasts. Video games. You have The Internet. THE INTERNET! Al Gore made this just for you! You have the freedom to surf, to glide, to twist and jive, to see what you want, to do as you will... and here you are, spending your time here, devoting your life energy, the amount of which you could guide into so many other affairs, to getting on with it.

Sure, I understand. You want a great story. I love great stories. I've spent many hours of my life reading great stories. I get that concept. What I can't comprehend is why you're still here. Logically, you wouldn't be here unless you deemed this topic worthy of your time... which is where my brain goes HURRRK.

I probably shouldn't have gimped my social awareness. I could use the extra skill points to figure out what the hell you're all doing.

As I believe you're aware, this narrative has been incomplete for several months, and, while personal affairs really did interfere with my free time, I managed to perform the improbable and burn the desire to think of LCS out of my mind. I got sick of it. I stopped wanting to play it. I stopped wanting to think about it. I stopped logging onto this forum so I wouldn't be around a culture which appreciates and enjoys it. Disheartening? Yes. True? Indeed. You can hear my fatigue in the videos while I play the game; I wanted it to end, but I wanted to do it my way, and the game failed to cooperate. Naturally, after flailing at the game for so long, I did not want to spend more of my free time attempting to hammer a logical LCS storyline together. "FUKITOL!" I cried to the Elite Liberal Gods. In their infinite heart (and love for free speech), they elected not to smite me, allowing me to shamble on my own miserable way until I regained my senses, crushed Conservative Wisdom, and returned to the fight once more. Was it challenging? Yes. Wished I had completed it seven months ago? Naturally. Did I lose heart? Absolutely not. I knew, so long as I had the ability, I'd come back here and finish this task. The absence, however, has resulted in consequences.

"Consequences? Like what?" The quality has changed. Is it better or worse? I can't say. I'm seven months removed from the man who recorded the last set of unwritten vids, and I'm nine and a half months distant from the birth of this topic. My writing style has changed. I have changed. You may walk away from the final chapter feeling cheated, as if all of this time spent in anticipation of the final chapter had corroded into a ruinous failure. Was that melodramatic? Yes. Am I tired? Uh huh. I wanted to finish this post, though, before I went to sleep, and, well, if I have to ramble along the way, that's just a sacrifice I'll have to make. Y'see, when I started writing this, I planned it to be a small OOC preface for the final chapter of the narrative. However, honestly, we should all know by now I am nearly incapable of brevity. Especially when I'm tired. So there you go. Now I have a huge block of text which forms some sort of preface for what I plan on posting tomorrow. Fiddlesticks. Welp. I reckon imma post this now. I mean, I could proofread this silly business, but, really, I'm half-asleep now. Crafting a preface expressing my true emotions while remaining appreciative of you the entire time requires way too much energy. Besides, we needed to end this on a silly note. It's not like LCS makes sense. Why should I?

See you folks tomorrow... when I actually GET THE FUCK ON WITH POSTING THE GRIMDAMN STORY.

-EDIT: Proofreading; added a title because, well, this post seemed weird without one. Also, rest assured I completed the final chapter while not under the influence of fatigue. Not too much fatigue, anyway. It makes sense. Kinda. In an Elite Liberal sort of way. Trust me.

( Didn't think I forgot, did you? The following narrative has been wrapped in spoiler tags for topic convenience. Enjoy, please. Or not. I reckon I can't force you to, even if you'd be employing Wisdom by disliking the following. It's a free world after all, right? Right. Tally ho! )
