Most recruitable Liberals initially lack favorable odds in surviving an encounter with Conservative firepower; some Liberals, even with Juice-enhanced stats, still don't fare too well under fire (like your Liberal Child Squad). Lack of survivability is the main reason why I stopped having a bunch of citizen-ranked Liberals in the LCS whose jobs were to sell drugs and motivate folks on the streets. If their capabilities are so vast that they routinely survive exposure to legal forces, then I don't want them on the streets selling drugs: I want them in the sites murdering Conservatives.

At any rate, I'm nonchalant towards Kurt's health stat. Sure, 20 is higher than 15, but Grimith died because the forces of irony and narrative justice combined to result in having a security guard somehow blast through the expensive suit my founder wore and tear his heart to shreds. Kurt's going to be travelling in a group frequently, with armor frequently, so I'm thinking Conservative forces will just rip the other folks to shreds instead.

...On that note, I noticed no one clamored for the opportunity to have an avatar in this game of LCS. Smart people. Because then I'd have to write your name in the narratives, too, and your minds would be blown! =P

Finally: The narrative for Video #17 will be finished later this evening, barring an act of Arch-Conservatism.

-EDIT: Yes, internet, I know that you specifically look for folks who have high street sense and hire them to do your bidding. I just don't feel it's worth the effort. Unless I decided to focus on a challenge where I could only make money for the LCS through selling brownies, I wouldn't bother seriously doing it. Consequently, that's also why I value street sense so little and... well, yeah. That's all I needed to say for this edit. Type to you later, internet.

Er. When I want to make money selling brownies on Conservative Nightmare, I just recruit sweatshop workers and set them to it. If the deathsquads kill them, I lose nothing and can get more within 1 day.
Not very liberal though, so I don't bother.
Regardless, yes, street sense is pretty worthless...

Well (continuing the tangent), I know your Liberal Child Squad is only using children to Liberalize the country, so then I thought about drug dealing children, which only led me to think that hey, well, how many people use children to do other stuff besides small bit crimes? But, hey, children mass murderers... that's a Liberal idea, for sure.

My child leader was my best interrogater EVUH! maybe that's because seeing an 8 year old wearing a damaged bloody DeathSquad uniform (probably oversized and adorable) forcing you to watch Bible Black with him... well, anyhow, they all broke pretty quick.

...And on that disturbing note.

Update 017: Video

(Unexciting narrative for an unexciting video, I'm afraid. If this didn't satisfy your lust for action, I encourage you to do some exploration on my video accounts. I started playing through Star Zoo yesterday morning, and I've made good progress. Speaking of which, I think I'm overdue now for a SZ update...)

WOW!!!  :o
In addition to his inhuman health and high agility and heart, Kurt Ross also includes shapeshifting among his Mutant Powers!

Mutants ROCK!!!

BTW, if you ever feel like hiring 1 more member, I would like to be a dancer/yoga instructor/athlete/black belt. My storyline is I join after hearing tales of the Legendary Grimith, and try to emulate him, in my own way. Equip me with a sword and armor, and let me go solo rampage from site to site. I would like to kill at least 1 Conservative per day, spending 3 days in each site before moving on to the next. ... Put the Ministry of Love last on my to-do list please, as I fear I will not survive the experience.

jasonred79: I'll consider it. I wanted to keep the Dozen Liberal Legion, but in-game events could conspire to change my attitude regarding the matter. Or create vacancies in the DLL, which leads me to...

Everyone: I've recorded a trio of LCS videos today and uploaded them to YouTube. Those of you who prefer Dailymotion over YouTube are going to have to wait a few more hours due to video backlog, slow uploading, DM-hates-puppies... and other phrases to express indirectly the problems I've had with it today.

Now, oddly enough, Videos #18-20 haven't finished processing on their separate YT pages, but you should be able to watch them by going to my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/GrimithR. Presuming you care, of course. If not... well... huzzah!

The narrative for these three videos should be posted some time tomorrow, unless I find myself with a wealth of spare time and no headache this evening. So stay observant, folks. Prose is on the way.

-EDIT: Also, if any of you folks are interested in a round-robin community game of Liberal Crime Squad, go here.

-EDIT2: For those who are pro-Dailymotion or anti-YouTube (or you just want to watch them again), the DM video links for #18-20 are here, here, and here.

Two questions. Why are you not shifting the severely injured members into your backrow and letting the uninjured take point, during sieges?

Also, dunno about anyone else, but sometimes during sieges, I am not given the option of (E)quipping a squad. Which would be a bad time to have everyone naked in no armor.
BTW, damaged Army Body Armor seems better than non-damaged police armor and body armor. Seems so. And Bunker Gear is near worthless, IIRC.

#1: No logical reason, man. I'm just being a dick and sticking with the set six for the Revenge squad (unless the Conservatives murder one of them). Besides, the injured themselves - particularly Hugo - act as meat shields for the folks in the back. The intelligent idea would be to move Kurt back there, at least, but I never liked hiding my founder, not even in the face of superior firepower. Besides, I guess I'm trusting in myself and the RNG to avoid non-incap enemies. Dangerous, I know... but, hey, you folks gotta get your jollies somehow.

#2: I've never had the problem you described. Anyone else (lurkers!? Now is your time to shine!)?

And, as for your comment... well, I guess I'm just too fashion-conscious to wear damaged armor (but not bloodied armor!). And I thought that bunker gear had value in that it at least provided all-around protection, which could be quite handy for those non-body shots. Regardless if that's true, it proved to be a moot point in the videos. But, perhaps, next time, the Bunker Gear will prove its value! ...or fail miserably. One of the two, I wager.

Yeah, but you were much more daring in the first siege when you had uninjured front liners, then once they got injured you sort of wussed out and relied on the traps 100%. Would have been more exciting if you just switched out your neardeath guy and then charged bravely into battle. Though I did find it a learning experience that the AI eventually learns how to explore deeper into your base. I thought they would just stay near the front entrance FOREVER, based on how they camped there in my games...

Bunker Gear is like all-around tissue paper or something. hmm. Though it apparently DOES contain Kevlar, according to the wiki. So maybe it's better than I thought. Anyhow, it doesn't even protect that well from flamethrowers?

Ha. I originally thought armor could get [D]irty and ullet-holes.

I think I would have wussed out even if I had six folks with Liberal health. Except for Kurt, the entire LCS is really not combat oriented. Soldiers hurt.

And, yeah, I was first confused about B, D, and BD when I started the game. I thought BD meant badly damaged, and I figured that perhaps B meant bruised or somesuch. Just light damage. Nothing serious.

-EDIT: I accidentally bolded most of my post. I feel pretty silly now. Problem fix'd. Also, the narrative will be up within ninety minutes... barring an act of Arch-Conservatism, anyway.

:D! I'm sure Kurt would have argued the point had he heard it, but I don't think the speaker in question would have had his Wisdom challeneged so easily.

Nice! Oh and I think bunker gear's bad at stopping bullets, but good when your enemies are fighting with fire!
