In ancient times the Vikings were great explorers, metal workers, traders and warriors. Through history this was remembered and in the future this was seen. These Viking warriors were of earth, until a great cataclysm came from the outer reaches of the Galaxy and made the mortal beings of earth wish they had gods. Earth Federation being a trading empire fought hard against the horrible menace of aliens swarming into Earths Solar Systems. First, in 2064 the first extra solar colony in Alpha Centauri fell, with nuclear fire covering the planet. No less than 30 million perished there and it hardened the resolve of the people of earth to unite under the Federation against this unknown species that had begun a war without a warning. The Sol Fleet made up of the finest ships and crews went out to face the incoming alien menace at the Sol jump point 10 Long Ships, 5 Berserker class Cruisers and 5 Archer Class Missile frigates and the 3 Thor Missile Cruisers waited for the enemy to come patiently, No one could outclass humans who had strived for 2000 years to reach space and meet the gods.
Fleet General Loki Asason was in control of the fleet in this time. It was the year 2065, and it was going to be one to be remembered. Asason assigned his Long Ships with 12cm lasers to surround the jump point close in to give full broadsides as soon as the enemy transited the Jump Point. Warrior class ships were the Heavy Infantry of the Terran Federation in 2065 replacing the Long Ship in 2060. The old warhorses of the Terran Navy that was underfunded had never refit half of the Long Ships which only had 10cm lasers with only 90,000 km range compared to the 120,000 km range that the Warrior class had. The Archer Class Missile frigates took position behind the Berserkers and Long Ships. Each Archer carried 50 small one ton missile launchers. The Thor missile Cruisers were made for hammering the enemy with great blows and carried 15, ten ton missile launchers. Nothing that was made in Terran Space could stand against a single salvo from one and they hoped nothing coming through that Jump Gate would be able to do the same. They were wrong.
The first thing through the Jump Gate was the ship labeled the Dragon class amassing 54,550 tons on active sensors, she grew brighter and brighter as she completed transit almost like fire. Well it was nuclear fire, 45, ten ton missiles flew directly at her and hit her defense shields at 30,000 km/s. Due to transit the enemy ship had to raise shields and sensors to even get a sight on her enemy. Her armor was hit hard in this first burst of surprise from the Sol Defense fleet. 10 cm and 12cm lasers cut glistening flows of what seemed like molten lava across the Dragons armor skin.
The dragon’s first action on the fleet was to incinerate 5 of the Long Ships sitting 90,000 km’s from her with what must have been the largest beam of light anyone in the fleet had ever seen. Three of the Longships exploded in a glitter of particles and were vaporized entirely. This repeated every 5 seconds until the first defense line of Sol was gone. Every Longship within 90,000 km of the Dragon was venting in space drifting uncontrolled. The Berserker class had been firing for this whole sad time to no effect it seemed. Some Berserkers ships ran at the dragon at 5000 km/s and impacted it as they took horrendous amount of damage being neatly burned into pieces, but the shields held most of the impact and its armor though bashed and melted from the heat created from the impact held.
Fleet General Asason ordered a tactical withdrawal. The Missile ships began retreating back with 250 1 ton missiles and 45 10 ton missiles hitting the Dragon. The Dragon grew brighter and brighter as her defense shields lit up again and again, then suddenly they went down.
Finally, The Terran Navy had broken the Dragon, just a few more hits till her armor was smashed by the Thor Missile Cruisers! But Loki Asason stared on from his Command and Control ship in wonder, if this was just 1 of the enemies ships, where were the rest? Surely this wasn’t all they had. He repeated his order for ships to continue back to Sol to the defense base and Planetary Defense Centers and rearm. The Thor Cruisers and Archers had only enough for 1 more salvo after the next launch.
The three Thor class Missile Cruisers continued their run back for Sol with the angry Dragon behind them. Once again the shields lit up but failed again. The last salvo had done nothing it seemed. Then the Dragon slowed, the last of the Archer classes salvos had broken through the armor near the rear of the ship. Taking out something vital the Dragon began to leak atmosphere and small objects flew outwards from the ship. Suddenly another explosion could be seen, and another. A chain reaction of explosions began occurring, buckling armor all across the Dragon creating a blow out of atmosphere in every crack that was created in the armor. The Dragon crippled came to a slow stop and began retreating crawling back to the JP. As the last salvo of missiles struck the wreckage that was once a ship, there was a great cheer across the command ship.
We had won the first battle of the war! Success!
Salvage ships were sent out and began salvaging what they could from the ship and found advanced engine technology and laser weapons. They took these components back to earth for research and development in the hopes that later in the war this would help them.
1 month later we found out that we were never going to win another battle however, the Scout ship Nardrol flew through the Jump Point at 26,000 km/s. She was all engines and sensors, the crew knew it was a death sentence but they signed up anyways, they were warriors. The ship turned on active sensors and any ship within 500m km would see her easily, but she could see them as well if they were out there. Nardrol was a bright candle in the dark night and soon she had enough sensor data to head back to the jump point. But the enemy saw her and followed knowing what Nardrol had. Nardrol had a crew of 500 and shut down all sensors and burned full power for an hour to reach back on other side of the jump point. 10,000km’s away she met an enemy fighter and took critical hits starboard side the hull, her navigator was killed instantly in what must have been some kind of terrible nightmare for the commander , all this training to die at the very end, losing artificial gravity the commander drew himself up and launched himself toward the navigators station. Explosions rocked the ship and atmosphere was venting out of the bridge, he knew he was dead as he turned on the jump engine and the Nardrol and the fate of humanity transited while spilling atmosphere and bodies across her trajectory.
It wasn’t till 2 days later that Terran Tugs caught up and pulled the ship back to earth for diagnosis of sensor data, but by then the data wasn’t needed. The enemy had transited 1 hour behind the Nardrol. Mines set on the jump point exploded and barely effected the enemy shields. A few 200 ton fighters blew up or were damaged so badly they lose all ability to move. The Sol defense fleet fleet was repairing at Sol in the defensive sphere of Earths Planetary Defense Centers. Quickly constructed after Alpha Centauri was glassed, they amassed 30,000 tons and had been built partially at Mars and Earth. 3 of these great and powerful PDC’s were under mountains across earth. Each one carried 43 size 10 missile launchers with missiles that ranged 70m km. The same missiles took part in the Berserker Battle for sol.
As the Alien fleet of 15 dragons and a much larger fleet of support vessels moved ponderously towards earth, they launched smaller ships toward mars. Mars had been evacuated except for required personnel who wished to stay to keep the automated mines and factories running trying to get the last bit of war material they could before it was lost for the rest of the war. The aliens ships orbited for an hour to scan the planet then orbital bombardment began in what could only have been slow and methodical. Any area that had once had been populated was now destroyed. The fleet soon met back up with their parent and kept on their path for Sol.
The humans had not seen any missiles used by these aliens that were long ranged yet so they had depended on this single part of their defense heavily to save mankind and it would pay off. The aliens moved to 65 million kilometers and the 3 PDC’s opened up their heavy launch doors that hid them below the Alps, and in the Rocky Mountains. They lit up there active sensors letting the enemy know where they were and that they were tracking them and 5 seconds later fired up their primary missile control sensors. The tremble of earth as the missiles began launching felt like small earthquakes to even those people 500 miles away. The missiles fought to exit earth atmosphere then dropped their chemical lift off rockets and started their ion engines and raced to 30,000 km/s toward the knowing enemy. At 1 million kilometers from earth, the orbiting Sol defense fleet matched the earth side missiles and launched all the missiles they had in the tubes, giving the enemy a total of 250 1 ton missiles, 129 earth launched 10 ton missiles and 45 shipside missiles to deal with. Nothing could withstand the energy released as those missiles would close and detonate.
The alien fleet while not using nuclear missiles for anything but planetary bombardment had fought enemies before that had them and used their heavy lasers and missiles to whittle down the horde of missiles coming onto them. 100 1 ton missiles were taken out along with 40 10 tons. The brilliant explosions of energy in a trail coming into the enemy was a sign of the doom to come and 5 seconds later the missiles closed the final 25,000 km gap between them and the enemy fleet. 2 dragons went out. And the enemy fleet kept coming 10 more salvo’s launched before the enemy fleet was in bombardment range and the enemy fleet took losses which would have made any attack in history to have turned back but they still came. Half a million tons of Alien ships littered space around earth before they were in Laser range. It was in these last moments of Earths Defense that Humanity shined the brightest in all its history. Men who were not even part of the war effort took part and piloted their privately owned civilian cargo vessels and shipping liners toward the enemy fleet. They drove with the reactors overheating pushing with every bit their machines had. Some blew before they reached the fleet, some made it. Those who made it rammed into every ship that looked important. The civilian liner Captained by Craig Johansen hit the front of a dragon head on creating a nuclear ball of fire larger than the moon. With each heroic feat humanity burned brighter and brighter and brighter, till it burned out. Four hours into the battle the Command and Control ship Odin with General Fleet commander Asasos began taking heavy damage Asasos announced over the speakers “All of you have fought like the legends of old today but we need you to fight in other places soon to provide as much time for earth and the defense centers to hit the enemy again, evacuate now unless you would like to burn in the fires of Odin with these bastards and me. The crew that wished to die in glorious flame stayed and manned the necessary positions on the bridge and flew the Odin at maximum speed at the lead Dragon class. The bridge was vaporized with a 80 cm slice right through the center but the Odin was too large to stop with mere lasers, She stormed in at 2000 km/s with all weapons on automated fire. The few crew left alive grinned with hate and took down one more Dragon class.
In 5 hours the Final Battle of Earth had ended. 2 million tons of wreckage, civilian, military and alien littered the space around Earth. Earth was destroyed, all major cities ended in 100 megaton explosions of nuclear fury. Every sign of population was eradicated from orbit. No forgiveness would be handed out for the heroic defenders of earth. Planetary Defense Centers were blown away from the face of earth along with the mountains above them by repeated 100 megaton explosions digging deeply into the soft rock.
Earth and its monuments were as they say history. The leaders of Earth knew that it would be doomed from the start if an enemy was found in the stars and before our first colony was founded on Alpha Centauri we built safe population centers underground, in the asteroid belt and on earth deep underground to store people in cryo sleep chambers.
Enough space for 100,000 people at first, until Alpha Centauri was incinerated, the war effort had funds a great sum of 5 trillion dollars was put towards constructing more underground Shelters. Private Industry was called upon to all work together in great corporations to achieve these feats that were never seen before. Some were deeper than the original at 1 km and some closer to the surface only 500 feet. All Held 100,000 people at minimum. A total of 100 million people were able to be hidden away here. Our best minds were given tickets and when the information that Alpha Centauri was glassed, those tickets were called up. The greatest mind and the heads of state were secretly prepared to go underground and sleep out until the end of the war if there was ever going to be one. Every 100 years if no signal was sent 10 people would be awoken to see what the outside world was like. If living conditions were still inhospitable they would reenter cryo sleep. It took 2000 years for earth to have some semblance of plant life, enough for the few remaining people who survived on Earth to come out and live again.
However they had to live underground and develop industry there. They had to hide from possible prying eyes, we no longer had sensors in space to see if maybe “they“ were there still waiting for us to kill us all over again. So we began the greatest war effort in the history of mankind, no longer was there a difference between nationalities, we were all one people of the ships. We were the greatest of the world linked by intelligence and fueled by hate. And the Aliens that did this to us, they would soon find out just how much fuel we had to burn. We were the ShipMurdered.

And here we are it is the Glorious year 2025 AD-After Destruction. I sir Journier of the ShipMurdered people of Earth am leading the people back to space but we must be careful so I am designing planetary defense centers before my reign is over and beginning their construction. So that the people I lead won’t die horribly again! I will then resign myself to cryo sleep till I am needed again.
The Sol system hasn’t changed much in 2000 years since I last saw pictures of it.
I have set my people to designing the new fleet of earth. We have a 12,000 ton civilian shipyard and a 5000 ton military naval yard capable of outfitting the latest ships we design with weapons. We need to colonize Mars quickly to foster trade and income from the private sectors though before we build the greatest war fleet humans have ever attempted to wield.
Our first ship my scientists design is the Tribal Colony ship. This will get our people to mars in great numbers eventually.

Looking at earths current trans-newtonian resources, we must have used all of the resources up before we had been defeated by the aliens. Earths is sorely lacking resources we MUST expand out of SOL to survive as a species!
I am currently setting all of our production to be set to building automated mines and Construction factories. It is with these that we shall build an empire spanning military to destroy everything that blocks our path to the aliens.
for the year 2026 here is our expenditures
On 6th of Septemer 2026 , our first Tribal Class Colony ship is built and sent to mars with colonists in crysleep.
on the 11th of September Mars is colonized by 30,000 very ambitious colonists.
In the year 2027 many private companies began bidding on vessels made at the government space docks and one won the bidding and bought a single ship to ply the Sol trade lanes with.
We wish all the private corporate shipping lines great wealth in the coming era.
It is the 2nd year of my reign and all things are good within the empire only 3 more years till I wake the next ruler from Cryosleep.
I have been steadily subsidizing the private shipping lines so i dont have to waste Sol's resources on worthless commercial ships and instead be able to build heavy war frigates of Thors hammer!
Here is my PDC design of the 15th of June 2028.
This will be the backbone of Earth and Mars planetary defenses soon.
we will call these the Earth Class PDC's. Only the strongest and most expensive of defenses will be classed as Earth.
15th of July 2028 400,000 colonists had arrived on mars, and mars is going to be having automated mines shipped over along with construction factories before my reign is over.
The rest of 2028 was just the people of earth mining the shit out of the place to get back into the place we call space.
On the 10th of January 2029 a record making 500,000 Colonists had arrived on mars.
On the 23rd of march Mars received its 1 millionth colonist!
I have set the 23rd of March as Mars day on the federal holiday list.
On the 22nd of november 2029 Mars received its 2 millionth colonist from New Earth!

I have set our main industrial output to begin building our Planetary defense centers however. We need 6 atliest incase those god damn rotten aliens come back again. WE WILL NEVER FALL AGAIN.
On the 30th of December 2029 Mars has 2.57 million population.
I reccomend my soon to be successor look to the bodies in the solar system that have high trans-newtonian minerals since earth is almost out, and begin transferring them back to earth quickly.
Another 5 years and we may be out
our Industrial Layout for earth currently.
With this I also leave my successor 8 cargo ships and 2 colony ships with 1 ready to finish in another month .
