Elves also eat their dead enemies, including dwarves, humans, other elves (See:  The wife of The Immortal Onslaught) goblins, and freaking DEMONS.

Then how come, as an elf, in adventure mode, one cannot cause the elf to eat their fallen victims?

Actually, there was an occasion in adventure mode where I was playing an elf (Please don't hurt me) and attacked a creature while unarmed. Instead of wrestling or punching or kicking, I bit the creature and tore its head off. (I think it was the head, I know I tore something off.)

Yeah, I think most creatures have a mouth attack in cases where for whatever reason, they can't use their arms (They've been broken, chopped off, whatever).  I pierced a wolf's heart with my mouth once.

It's a pity this isn't actually simulated. I'd love to see an elf eat an SoF, only to burst into flames.

Toady probably just isn't doing that much for adventure mode, it is a sort of bonus feature after all...

it would be neat if he implemented something like the undead's cannibalize skill in WoW.

eat your enemy's hearts, to gain their courage.  their tasty, tasty courage.

Their O.K. for torture as example, and see using it to get info as just "misguided". Dwarves find torture period to be unacceptable.

Am I the only one how didn't miss this?

Anyways, if dwarves are so against torture, how can you explain half the things that happen in DF? It's like, sometimes, they become downright sadist-masochist-lemming hybrids.

Because dwarves are goddamned crazy.
So, basically, it is just a matter of luck whether you live or suffer horrible death... sounds like dwarf fortress.

Check the raws. Dwarven civs have all forms of torture as unacceptable.

Basically, Player Dwarf Forts are where Dwarf civs send all their insane sadists to get rid of them. That's how I see it. Damn renegade dwarves, almost as bad as those cannibalistic elf baby-eaters if you ask me!

Then why do the mountainhomes send caravans? Seems silly, especially if trying to get rid of them. Why not just toss them into a magma pit, or something? Seems such a round about way of doing things....

I think it's more a matter of dwarven science. "What will happen if we leave seven of our criminally insane alone in the wild with only a few supplies?"

The 'caravans' are merely scientists coming to checkup on the experiment.

Om nom nom... Really? I've never seen a humanoid bite someone before in DF. Cool though... If elves are big tree-huggers, why do they use all-wooden weapons
