Extremes on either side of anything is never a good thing. Remember, there are a lot of stupid people in the world, and a lot of them believe extremely strongly in one thing or another. Just don't use these guys as a reference guide to a real conservative, any more than a fundie is an example of the majority of religious people.

Extremist? No sir, Conservapedia is a very fair and balanced encyclopedia, endorsed by a number of high profile conservative thinkers.

Will we ever see an at least 80% accurate wiki about a touchy topic on the internet, ever?

I don't think so!

Y'know, I misread the top left hand corner of their homepage.  I genuinely thought it said:

Quote
The personal benefits of conservatism include:

    * obesity and other addictions
    * anxiety, depression and other time-wasters
    * deceit and bias
    * temptation of all kinds
    * peer pressure
...before I noticed the word "defeating" in there.

I feel genuinely sorry for moderate conservatives.  Many of them have decent ideas and points, but they are drowned out in a sea of retardedness from the far right.

The talk pages are even better than the articles.

Quote
This article is out of date. Norway allows gay "people" to have equal marriage rights as well. -- Dollfuss.
Quote
That article also says that common law relationships (IE live-in but not formally married) are 5 times more likely to experience violence and is the only category seeing growth in violence. Thus, allowing gay marriage would, statistically speaking, reduce domestic violence among homosexual couples. This article actually supports gay marriage from a statistical standpoint....Kiss20 19:28 16, January 2008 (EST)

    Yeah... But let's ignore the facts. Barikada 23:11, 23 January 2008 (EST)

        Please stop blaspheming. The article is correct, and since you say that it isn't, I can say with 95% success that you are a liberal, unChristian, unAmerican, and a mass murderer. I can say with 106% certainty that you are an avid practitioner of liberal deceit.--JZim 21:42, 19 November 2008 (EST)

Reading it, I highly doubt this statement.

God, if I read any more of that drivel I think I might actually cry.  And crying has become surprisingly hard for me lately for some reason.

What I did read gave me a headache.  I sincerely hope I never meet any of the writers.

That's 106% motherfuckers.

Argue with that.*

*If you chose to argue with that I can say with 437% certainty that you are a mass murderer.

They talk about Christianity as if not being Christian is evil.  This fact does not stop cycling through my mind.

They are hypocrites.  They talk about how the first amendment is a right that everyone has, but they go on about not-being-Christian as if it's pure, child-murdering evil.

    Aren't we breaking the first commandment of Conservapedia, "Everything you post must be true and verifiable." Why don't we just use the dictionary definition of liberal, or are we under the impression that the dictionary has a liberal bias here?

        liberal: favorable to progress or reform, as in political or religious affairs.[1]

            I don't use that definition because it is false. Liberals are people who favor taxpayer-funded abortion, censorship of classroom prayer, and just about anything that is anti-Christian.--Andy Schlafly 13:50, 11 December 2009 (EST)
