Can you pick what unit a captain is attached to?

Anyway, Venice is winning overwhelmingly, so that's what we'll be taking unless there's a sudden massive backlash.

I already called 'Doge Barbarusso', and I vote we take Zagreb and Durazzo as soon as possible. Durazzo first, to stop the Byzantine expansion.

The Byzantines ALWAYS want Iraklion.

Can you actually change people's names?  I've noticed a way to do that.

Man, Hungary never gets any love...

I believe that if you have a single unit go into a fight but it's self it becomes a captain, with the little gold star and then if you add more units to it's army it will still stay the captain. I haven't had a chance to try this out because it's late for me, but I think it works.

Oh, well, maybe I'll try it.

I'm glad we didn't take the Turks.  The word "turk" and to a lesser extent "turkish" tastes odd to my mouth, and it's not entirely pleasant.

I call dibs on the best general possible, and I want to be in charge of invading enemy kingdoms. Crusading is fun too.

Alriiiiiight. Let's invade the shit out of Milan.

And let's bribe the shit out of the Pope. Also, ally (the shit) out of him whilst you're at it.

Anyway, shit aside, I call Bartolomeo.

Okay, can you give me a quick summary of the town and its surroundings? What it can build, what troops it can produce, is there anyone nearby I need to be worried about.

Bartolomeo isn't in a town.  He's the line near Venice.  You're a general, not a guvnah

Alright then. I guess I've nothing to do for now.

EDIT: I assume I'll be on the front line when we take the rebels? Cool beans.

And, ally and trade with the HRM and trade with Milan, for now. Despite my eagerness for Milanese blood, this is probably a good course of action.

I call
Cristiano Selvo

IIRC he should be down south on the island, perfectly placed to lead any crusades into the holy land.

Ill take Alessandro.

Can I send a unit of my pikemen to help Bartolemo with the rebels? Ill risk the chance of defection.

Recruit two horses and a boat.

What is our naval situation?

Edit: What does the pope think of us?

It starts out dead even across all factions. He has no ill will towards us. Hence why we need to ally with them.

EDIT: Apparently that's not true. Hm. Good question.

Ah, you picked Venice?  Whenever I try it, everyone declares war on me sooner or later and a stalemate happens(since I cant move my army away, or else lose my cities, which are sieged every other season). Personally, I prefer Scotland, their melee troops are awesome, or France, whose calvary just smush everything.

First target should be Milan, quickly as possible. They are a thorn in the back to be at war with. They just love assassins and spys, and will kill your good generals, cause riots in your cities, and "open the doors" to your forts when attacking.

"Edit" Oh, now you have made me want to play my M2: TW again. Extremely easy AI to smush/impale/decapitate, here I come! :)
