If we're playing a mod with orcs, flux isn't realy necessary, since they drop so much steel that can be melted down.  Still it's nice to have.

Personally I like sand and magma, and gcs are never boring.

I think ansrit is just going to have to pick a place and let the workers try and figure out a way around the short comings.  Possibly with dwarven science, or cats.

Ideally something with magma, flux, and adjacent to at least one hostile civilization, for Fun. Running water is for sissies, real dwarves capture rain water and build overly complicated water towers.

fixed.

Count me in, if I get lucky I'm gonna learn how to make huge pillars in the ocean before it's my turn.

OK, flux, magma, water, "other features" and hostiles.

Anything else? Flavor mods or something?

Because dwarves are goddamned crazy.
So, basically, it is just a matter of luck whether you live or suffer horrible death... sounds like dwarf fortress.

OK, anything else before putting the world up for Genning? Modded-in weapons?

Does someone have any experience with the worldgen or should I just hit "random" on everything and see what comes out?

So... any rules or restrictions? Is trap spam allowed? Do nobles have to be kept alive to the best of our ability, or can we drown, impale, burn, or otherwise torture them with impunity? City walls okay? If a tantrum spiral takes out 90% of the fort's population, does the next guy have to pick up there, or do we revert to the previous save?

I'd rather not have any restrictions except maybe on traps. And trying to save a fortress form a tantrum spiral that has killed most of your dwarfs is Fun! Why ruin it by reloading and earlier save?
