Looking back at some of the old posts here, I think Toady stopped working on the graphics and improved some things. This became Dwarf Fortress. If you look carefully, Toady's going back to remaking Armok 1.. he's already done it by putting stuff like tissue and anatomy back in. Some day, it's going to be 3D again.
