Sweet. I'll move the pencil around to adjust the amplitude of the wave sent out, and try again. (Amplitude Modification)

If that fails, I'll wiggle it really fast to raise the frequency of the wave sent out, and try again. (Frequency Modification)

If both fail, I'll put the radio in my pack (for now) and keep walking.
