Ok, Armok will do for a name. Description... I guess your (below)average unathletic swedish male is all the physical description needed. Knowing I'm a DF player and swedish really lets you deduce the rest.

Edit: oh, and just to give you a heads up, if you want me to actualy do what I would do in a similar situation, you'll probably have a hard time keeping the fourth wall up. I tend to check for lucid dreaming and hallucinations regularly, and my understanding of philosophy and science is great enough that if I teleported to somewhere having been writen into a work of fiction would be among my first hypothesis, and I'd act on it.

Well I assure you will 100% probability you wont find yourself anywhere you'd find in any book, or anything put down where people can find it.

armok:you drop into a desert and nearly miss a jeep on your way in, any closer and you'd be halfway in the damn thing...the blue sun is just about overhead.

your with the group...you can make any moves you want...and dont worry about the other realities right now...you'll see them soon.

Drop how? From whath height? Do I hear any sound? Is there a transition or is there just wetlands one instant and then desert the next? Do I feel any accseleration? How much of the water i were standing with comes with me? (liters, deciliters, wet, damp, dry (if dry, are there still dirt?), or damaged boots) Does my pose change or do i fall feet first? Is gravity normal? Anything else I would notice?

There was no transition between places, you dont feel any movement or hear any sound as you 'drop into the reality' you and your items are all that is 'pulled' in and you drop from about 2 feet off the sand, gravity is normal, you fall feet first downward, you have damp clothes if you were standing in water...and you dont notice anything but a buzzing noise after you are "dropped".

I sheik in an embarrassing fashion in suprise and fall backwards, also in suprise.

After abaut 20 seconds of just staring at evrything with a "WTF?!?!" Look on my face, I:
- feel myself and the ground, smell the air, etc.
- Do reality checks. (try to poke my finger through my hand, breathing while holding my nose, closing my eyes for a few seconds, and of course the classic of squeezing my arm to see if I can feel pain)
- Look around me to note both the surrounding, and any optical oddities.
- shout at the others "Hello? Do you know what the **** is going on here?"

Hey, Armok, could I borrow that microscope? I wanna get a closer look at this sand.

If Armok lets me, I'll try that, otherwise, I'll go down and see how the animals react to my presence.

glance over my shoulder at the oddity that has befallen the camp

>continue to observe the animals:are there any small mammal/birds that could be caught, killed, and eaten with little danger also what is the general size of the beasties: are they as big to our animals as the snake was to "normal" snakes and is there anything odd about how they act
