Well, it would at the very least mean a free source of adamantine if you manage to find that location in fortress mode... which is easier said then done.

Spirits of fire can fly. THAT'S why there aren't any in there.

The prisoners just burned up, along with the boss demon.

A tendon in the skull has been torn!
The Raven has been knocked unconcious!

Elves do it in trees. Humans do it in wooden structures. Dwarves? Dwarves do it underground. With magma.

But there were nothing there!
Just stairs, some detailed floor, the glowing pit - and that is all.
No bodies, no vomit, no hothing.

I'll try to get there faster after abandoning the fort next time.

Well, you can look at Legends mode, and it has a couple of SoF mentioned. I guess they fled when I uncovered them. The pit is in un-embarkable montains as far as I remember.

That's the great thing about this forum. We can derail any discussion into any other topic.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

Hmm, is that Weredrinkers, dark fortress of bemasto?

I scouted that, but cannot find any way down to the tunnel, though I did find some troglodytes and other chasm creatures - so, there GOT to be a way.

The fortress has three 'castles' - Bastion of Thieves, the Unnameable Caste and Ruthless towers.

Which of those has that tunnel?

I'm sorry, but your princess Demon Is in another castle.

It gave me 56 dwarves to reclaim with... I'm hoping the game is just being nice to me...
Good job Roger!
