From the description for Swarm: "This spell can be cast on an ally to provide a defensive barrier"

It should have some kind of defensive bonus, which is what I thought it would do, but there doesn't seem to have been a defensive bonus applied.
err, I meant "defensive" in the way of "the best offense is a good defense", I.E enemies who approach Raith are damaged by the insects. unfortunately gnomes are too stupid to consider that consequence, and will still fight as the insects wound them.

I see, I thought there would have been some bonus to block or something.

Yea, I think Raith actually has 2 HP left.
Raith has 2 defense (armour) and 10 HP. gnomes usually do 7 damage, but due to his armour, they do 5 damage. 10-5-5=0.

Oh, I misread the attack and block rolls then, also Raith needs to get better armor, thats for sure.

Hey, whatever happened to that ethereal plate mail that I had?

I think it only exists in the spirit world?

Edit: Looked back and yea, it basically only works in the spirit world "-2 suits of Ethereal chainmail (+2 defense in the spirit world)"

Sadly things only do what they are capable of.

Actually, smj, I looked back and found what I was looking for:
-Ethereal chest plate (+5 defense in spirit world, +1 defense in real world.)

and put all of the points into toughness.

So I did read the attack and defense rolls correctly?

From the description for Swarm: "This spell can be cast on an ally to provide a defensive barrier"

It should have some kind of defensive bonus, which is what I thought it would do, but there doesn't seem to have been a defensive bonus applied.

Your barrier is defensive in that it afflicts damage to all adjacent enemies. Not a literal shield.

Oh, so its more like an attack buff for melee? I can work with that. I'm really looking forward to that chain attack I can get at 10 cunning.

Próthaa wakes up from her, uhh... Lycanthropy and summons ghosties which she orders to attack the gnomes every turn and secure some nice loot at the end. Anything that buffs charisma.

The skin should be pinkish, he looks like a zombie with grayish white skin. Also I think he'll look better with the hood down. I think the hair is good, something different than the usual blonde elves.
Edit: Maybe I should have said he wasn't a dark elf, but the darker hair is okay.

sorry, you know I thought he'd be pale from living underground so long (is that accurate?). I can change the skin colour, but it'd take too long to draw a whole new pic with the hood down.

how's this?

I can work with that, although maybe make the hood rounder, like a cloak and less like a parka.

There will be plenty of chances for adding wearable items, so he won't look exactly like that forever.

No, no! That's not the way. We ignore it until tomorrow, at which point we can tell him happy birthday, and amaze and astound him with our incredible ability to remember things more than about twelve hours.

In that case, we forget for seven weeks, and then retroactively say happy birthday.
