You can't say that they don't want to. It's just that they're inactive.

Ed boy has stated that Rothgar doesn't believe in mind-altering substances. I'm assuming that the priests have something against it as well.
Maybe not Prothaa...

Anyway, I figure if we do split the party like this, we should keep the halves even.

Wait, OOC, what's the purple text? Her thoughts? Why would that be so? Has she been possessed by Fausto or something?

final QUEST PROGRESS for the night

The brave(?) few who have volunteered to injest the berries say their goodbyes and prepare themselves.

INJESTOR POINT OF VIEW
The berries have a rough, bitter shell, and once bit into they release a disproportionate amount of metallic-tasting juice. In seconds you can feel them taking effect; your mind begins to cross over. Your vision blurrs with the sight of swarming insects and squirming brambles, and you feel weightless, like you are slowly lifting off the ground. You get the strange feeling that more than your mind has crossed the veil...
(BLACKOUT)
when your vision returns you find yourself in a glade much like the one you left, baring a few details... for one, the corpse is gone, as are any allies who did not injest the fruit. Looking around, you see that the trees above you are now covered in shimmering, orange leaves, and every branch has hallucination fruit dangling from it. Farther up you see the sky... it is the colour of sunset, though ocassionally faint lightning bolts tear across it. In the distance you can see storms of purple wind menacing the landscape.

SUPERVISOR POINT OF VIEW
Those fools, so eagre to try any new thrill. You watch with slight distain as they choke on the berries' potent taste, and then lose themselves under its influence. They become giddy, their faces devoid of intelligence. They start teetering back and forth, losing their balance.

Then one of them loses his footing, and begins to rise from the ground. He becomes lighter, and at the same time transparent. As his body turns to smoke, all traces of him fade away into the treetops. Before you can react, the same thing happens to all the other injestors... Where have they gone?!

END SESSION FOR TONIGHT
Gee, cliffhanger much

Lemme guess, the spirit realm where the Sidhe live?

Which group is going underground soon, the guys that just crossed dimensions or the group that is in the 'real world'?

Quote from: Dwarmin
OOC: Dwargza's evil bandanna induced thoughts are now in chaotic purple

Take the helpless bodies of my former comraders, tie them up and haul them to the nearest Orc town to be sold as slaves. Use the money to build a massive sacrificial shrine to summon Virgrid into the world using myself as host. Destroy all reality.

Edit: Dang! Foiled again!

See the map in the original post? They're all still in the forest. Underground doesn't happen until THE EASTERN MOUNTAINS, after they've cleared up this whole conduit imbalance business.

I see, thanks for clearing that up. Depending on how deep they are in the forest, a dark elf character could show up. Although I'm not sure what the guys in the 'real world' would be doing at the moment.

Mmm... sidequest...
Just a reminder: The outcast druid has some sort of Key to the Conduit. Perhaps this is important.

Although I'm not sure what the guys in the 'real world' would be doing at the moment.
And the Druid is still wandering the REAL WORLD woods somewhere.

You have a point on the part about the druid... and the conduit...

So will the people in ze REEL WURLD search for the outcast druid?

That would be my cue :)

How about this for the character name: Eridraal Chycrilnur

Edit: Adding some appearance stuff:

His clothing resembles a druids cloak, except of earth tones, it has a very dark green, almost black color with red runic markings around the collar. Gonna go try and find the pics that Fault posted on the fan art thread, I think there may have been an elven sorcerer or something there.

Edit: Nm, couldn't find any elven sorcerer pic. Although the clothing I gave him now makes him sound like some sort of acolyte for some dark cult rather than a sorcerer.
