Well, I have an idea for my character, which would be based off of a character I did for an RP that broke apart on another forum (had nothing to do with me).

I want to play an elf, although the idea of mine is something of a mix between druid and sorcerer or druid and wizard because the character I did was suppoused to use what could be termed nature magic, with a touch of arcane genetic engineering.

Maybe an unorthodox type elf druid? dunno. Although I don't want to be mainly a defender class as I like getting in on the action. There will definetly be defender/buffing abilities, yea, but dunno how it would fit into what you have.

QUEST PROGRESS

The party has defeated a pack of wolves.
They now turn to the mysterious corpse the wolves were sniffing at. Upon inspection, they make a startling discovery - It looks nothing like the tile presented for it in the combat log!

For one thing, it has skin, and it doesn't really appear all that human - It is a diminutive creature with grey-green skin, and it has many sharp teeth in its mouth. Upon its head are two short, blunt horns. It is clothed in a wastecoat and trousers composed of a peculiar material resembling both leather and paper. Around its belt you find a satchel containing 10 Hallucination Berries.

I'll control Killer's character.
Actually, I think cripfiend already kinda signed up for that...

come to think of it, didn't you say you'd RP rothgar when Ed boy was offline?

hmm... a combat-based druid/sorcer class? well, we're going underground in the next world (after the forest) perhaps you could be a dark elf magic user of some sort. Does that sound all right? A little more thought needs to go into it, of course...

Actually, to correct what I said, maybe a mixture of wizard and druid since sorcerer is dark magic, which doesn't mix well with druid type magic.

Edit: Well, it depends on what magic a sorcerer uses.

okay... not a dark elf then, that wouldn't work. I'll think about it.

Actually, I took a second look at it and stuff like contagion and corruption would work well with a dark elf druid because we can also be talking about biological stuff here like spores. The ensare and the insect attack would work well too because they are VILE insects and the thorns would be the dark thick vines with razor sharp spines.

So yea I'll take that one :) Don't neccesarily need to do the stereotype of a good druid, why not a rogue druid, even a dark elf one.

the diminutive corpse is unarmed, probably explaining why it was killed by the wolves.

so, go with all the biological sorcerer spells, and none of the demonic sorcerer spells?

I have to go in a bit.
Anyway, I think we should take the soul journey of awesome now. Or next session or whatnot.

Also, Fault, I'd like to suggest that perhaps the xp system should be changed. Instead of getting xp based on what ends up happening, and xp being fairly luck-based, I think xp should be based entirely on your effect. That is, healing X much would give you X/5 xp or whatnot. That way, you get xp for actually helping out, not just for doing a 1 damage attack that coincidentally was on the same turn something was killed. Plus, it's easier to remember if people helped out or whatnot.

Acanthus made sure that there were no wolves because he didn't have wepon.

Yea, a mix of the druid biological spells and the sorcerer biological spells. Since the character is still elven (maybe I'll make him an outcast or something, depending on which elven groups are available), he has ties to nature, but isn't the demon summoning type.

Maybe he can still summon the ghosts of beasts or something? Of the more horrible variety that is, not demonic though.

Actually, having a combination of druid and sorcerer minus the demon summoning seems pretty powerful enough.
