He taps the elf on the shoulder

Acanthus taps his shoulder, and for a moment, The gaze of the Elven archer falls upon the thief's eyes.

elf's roll = 5+14
Acanthus' roll = 1

Acanthus loses concentration and falls over amid a pile of leaves, briefly stunned.

Listen, have you run into a man wearing a purple cloak, probably human and looking like he ate one too many demon rats for dinner?

"never seen such a man, but I have felt his presence. His fel energy now roams our woods, spreading chaos. I can smell it in the air... And I can smell it on you."

"You misunderstand, my fine sir! We need the berries to help rid the world of his evil presence. Indeed, one of your druids offered them to us, to do so."

"BAH! that Outcast... thinks the answer lies beyond the veil. I would have him hung from a tree if ever I could find him. If I had the key the conduit would be closed forever."

"Woah." Acanthus shakes his head, and feels more than a little angry at this guy. He fades into the shadows, preparing to...

"The Druid, the cast-off, only he knows where it is. And when I find him, I will make him tell me."

"We will find him and do this for you! Be assured that your will shall be carried out!"
[Note: We're not actually going to do this. Screw that guy, let's find some berries and do it the outcast's way.]

EDIT: To clarify, we'll pledge our allegiance to him, leave, and forget about him entirely. I don't know that we can take a full part of elves right now.

Hmmm. On the other hand, it would make for some great xp...
Plus we'll get the berries we need...

We will only attack if everyone agrees to all strike the elven diplomat guy at once and finish him off first, okay? I vote yes. I will help with my daggers.

I agree this guy is trouble.

"Well good luck on that, any information on the whereabouts of the evil sorcerer is appreciated but other than that we must go now. We will find the druid if you have any info."

I agree if we can get more than just the three of us, it will be a hard fight without others to help.

The Elven archer accepts valdar's words, and wanders away with his troop of scouts before you can make any other decisions. It would seem he can not tell when elves are lying.

His scouts train their shortbows on you until they are out of visual sight.
