Okay, to avoid arguements over who gets to kill the orc, I'm finishing Combat this way.

COMBAT DESCRIPTION

The orc stands at ready, the knowledge of his impending doom visible in his eyes.

Jorn, revitalized by Prothaa's healing, joins the charge with Raith, Raising his mace high above his head.

The Orc bellows at the party: "DO IT! FINISH IT! FIIINIIISH IIT!!"

Almost simultaneously Raith's Axe buries itself deep in The Orc's shoulder as Dwarzga's firebolt Burns the flesh from his skull. Jorn swings his mace in a sweeping motion into the Orc's chest, sending him flying through the air and burying him deep in his mountain of gold.

The Orcish Warlord is very very dead.

DUNGEON COMPLETE!
The Party has vanquished the Orcish Warlord!
All combatants gain five experience points!
Raith and Prothaa have reached level 3!
Jorn has reached level 2!
Raith, Prothaa and Jorn gain three skill points each.

Prothaa cries out to the party. Why had they been so quick to kill what could have been their only source of information? The orc could have known the only way out of here!

A strange quiet falls over the room with the death of the Orc. In front of you lies a mountain of gold. Behind you lies the door to the throne room. On the ground in front of you lies the Gilded Axe (+4 to damage) which was dropped by the Orc.

AFK FOR A BIT...  should be back in 15-20 minutes

Dwargza intones "Oh look, all the gold we could ever want. How amazing! And it was so easy...so...easy..hmm. Oh well!"

Actions: I search the piles for my pair of enchanted carp leather boots, which I assume were confiscated by the Goblins beforehand! Check my Character bio for more information.  :P

I do not touch the gold, since I care little for material worth.

A Dwarf who doesn't care for gold? Surly it is a sign of the end of time! Repent, sinners! Repent!

"You greedy little cretin! I have gotten loot from, what was it, one goblin so far? And yet you make a mad dash for the axe!" Próthaa yells at Raith, knife in hand.

Short break from being AFK

experience point choices noted.

Raith is at 10 strength, and thus unlocks a new ability. Alas, I must return to being AFK, so I'll decide that ability (and continue the story) when I return.

Raith holds the handle of the axe to Próthaa, with a mischievous smile on his face "I was going to give you the axe, I had no plans on keeping it for myself. What kind of jerk do you think I am?"

Good job! I was thinking of destroying the axe with a fire bolt if you guys fought over it.
That goes for all loot-if we can't come to a decision as to ownership, I blow it up.  8)

Próthaa is taken aback by an act of kindness from a party member. She had been just planning to cooperate with them to escape, but they didn't seem to bad. She almost liked them, which she didn't expect considering she found these people in a cell.
"Sure you were going to," says Próthaa.

Raith kept the mischievous smile, or at least as good as he could muster. "Think what you must." Raith said "Just remember that there are good people outside of your own kind" After giving his little speech, the goblin started picking through the gold pile.

OKAY I'M BACK.

QUEST PROGRESS

The party feels joyful at their triumph over the Orc Warlord. Raith is even feeling generous!
All in all as sense of accomplishment washes over our heroes. They've lost some valuable comrades, but gained new ones.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Prothaa recieves the Gilded Axe from Raith.
Dwarzga finds her Carp Leather boots (+1 agility) on top of a pile of gold!
Jorn and Raith move to take a gold coin from the mountain of treasure...

And the room explodes with the sound of a thunderclap. All the torches go out in a gust of cold wind as Jorn and Raith are violently propelled away from the Treasure. The walls of the room echo with the sound of high, cackling laughter as the room becomes lit with an eerie, violet glow.

The party is frozen in place! For all they know it feels as if their minds have been kicked in the nether regions. A flaming, purple rift opens in the ceiling, and from this portal descends a man astride a winged steed. He is clothed in flowing purple robes and a tricornered hat, both of which are emblazoned with the symbol of a three-pointed star. He begins to speak:

"I must thank you for geting rid of that Brute... but really you've been more trouble than your worth..."

He points his finger at Dwarzga accusingly.

"YOU. I was so close to my goal, and then you had to drag your war gods into this... But no matter. Armistus no longer has power here."

He dismounts and approaches the mountain of Treasure.

"I claim this offering of wealth in the name of Fausto, Chosen one of Vigrid, God of Chaos."

With a flash of violet light, all presence of Fausto vanishes from the room, as does every bit of gold. Even the decor on the Gilded Axe appears missing! (it keeps its stats though) with the room now empty of wealth, the secret exit is readily visible.

your gold has been pilfered by a purple-robed sorcerer! Pursue him to win back your wealth!
OR
A purple-robed sorcerer is out to gain the power of the god of chaos! Pursue him and bring him to justice!
