Dwargza pipes up, as quiet as a Dwarf can be... "Well, I like that idea...and I don't like the chances of all of us sneaking past the troll undetected...I suggest the most agile among us pull the switch...

make it angry, then lead it down the hallway

Then said person will take a flying leap over the bottomless pit at the last second, making the troll fall in. Ahem, not me of course."

Actions
take position on the side of the pit and ready myself for the attack, if one comes

"As much as I love our whispered plans, before things go like last time, I'm getting a jump on fighting. Someone else can try and pull the lever when the troll gets into position." As she whispers this, she lets loose an arrow aimed at the sleeping troll's eye/head(wichever is visible and possible).

~
sneak attack, first strike, whatever works. Before someone fails a whisper roll and we get jumped anyway.

There is no ledge on the other side of the bottomless pit! You would hit the wall and fall in, if you even make it to the other side (this is a Dwarf Fortress size Bottomless pit)

she lets loose an arrow aimed at the sleeping troll's eye/head(wichever is visible and possible).

Rolling D6: results=1

the arrow misses completely. The troll remains asleep.

"For the love of Olsmo, at least let me get to the lever before you do something stupid like that" Raith said while moving into position.

Attempt to use charm to make the troll jump into the pit.
1: You are out of range
2: charm can only be used on concious targets. It controls the mind, not the body. The mind needs to be active for it to take effect.

"For the love of Olsmo, at least let me get to the lever before you do something stupid like that" Raith said while moving into position.

RAITH IS IN POSITION NEAR THE LEVER. Upon examination, the lever is in the raised position. He may lower it when necessary.

"I'll handle this," says Próthaa as she throws her spear at the troll.

Shoot 'er again. while merrily huming to this tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlWYQwcxQtE

And no bonus at all for shooting a large, unmoving target? :( kinda sad.

Prothaa Throws her spear at the troll!
Rolling D6: results = 5
You hit one of its eyes, doing MASSIVE DAMAGE. However, the troll is not dead yet. It wrenches the spear from its eye and tosses it clattering into the pit.

Swiftwind Shoots an arrow at the troll!
Rolling D6: results = 4
The arrow imbeds itself in the troll's shoulder. It does damage, but does not slow the troll's charge! It lumbers towards you, grumbling in hunger and foaming at the mouth. It will soon reach you, and if the trap does not stop it, it will surely attack.

PREPARE FOR COMBAT?!??!?

Combatants
Raith
Prothaa
SwiftWind
non-combatants (waiting safely in the armory)
Jorn
Rothgar
Dwarzga
(all offline)

And no bonus at all for shooting a large, unmoving target? :( kinda sad.

The troll started moving right around the time the spear went through it's eye.

Raith's knees begin to quake at the advancing monster, but he waits until the troll is only a few feet away from the trap before flipping the lever to the on position, and finally running for it.

Another arrow into the monster, please.

"Hope that lever goes off." The ranger says loosing another arrow at the beast, and preparing to dodge massive troll fist attacks.

I don't quite understand the map. What are those empty spaces? Why is the map shaped like that?
