Raith's Tank bonus wears off.

Raith strikes Axegoblin!
Attack roll = 6
Defense roll = 4

Raith gains five experience points.

Swiftwind fires an arrow at speargoblin 1, who is now standing where axegoblin once was.

The attack is unblockable! Speargoblin 1 has been struck down.

Swiftwind gains three experience points.

NPC ACTIONS

Macegoblin strikes Speargoblin 2!
Attack roll = 1
Defense roll = 6
Attack is blocked.

Speargoblin 2 strikes Macegoblin!

Protha gains five experience points.

Goblin spearcarrier 1 (deceased)
attack: 3, HP: 0

Goblin spearcarrier 2 (charmed for two turns)
attack: 3, HP: 3

Goblin Maceman (Deceased)
attack: 4, HP: 0

Goblin Axeman (Deceased)
attack: 4, HP: 0

END COMBAT

The goblin spearcarrier awakes from his trance, and realizes that he helped slay his comrades!

he flees the room, leaving the doors unlocked!

wow, this is a bit messy. Not really turned based if you just go whenever you feel like...

sorry for excluding you, but you had gone awhile without posting... I'm kinda new to DM'ing.

((I think the turns change when Fault posts.))

that's basically how it works.

Well this is all good and well, but what happens if I have to go someplace, and can't sit here refreshing every 30 mins. ;/ Gonna miss loads of stuff, I'm just not sure how well this is working as a forum game.

Anyway, I'll notch another arrow and let it lead as I open the door and warily peer beyond.
Note: not going through the door, there's loot here to be had, however, I want to make sure that the speargoblin isn't within range of a well placed arrow before it gets reinforcements

I like the pace, actually...
Ok, follow Silverwind through the door, preparing to hide behind her and cast charm on the strongest looking goblin if there is combat.

Raith stands over his fallen comrades, giving them a prayer, and loot their corpses. "It's a goblin thing" he explained to anyone who asked. He then followed behind the elves, making sure there a good distance between him and them. "It's a goblin thing" he explained, again.

I like the pace, actually...

it works for now, but I should probably find a way to organize it more. Like, set start and stop times, and coordinate time zones or something.
I think as a general rule, your turn may be skipped if other participants are online and have been waiting for some time. It's not perfect, but it works for now...

MOVING ON

Raith Searches through the goblins' belongings.
-Iron Mace
-Iron Axe
-Ten gold(human) coins
-(2) flimsy chainmail (+1 defense)
-Four steel(goblin) coins
-A Goblin Key (only useable once!)
Raith has 5 inventory spaces. What loot does he take?

Protha, Swiftwind and Raith cautiously move through the door and find themselves in a larger room. It appears to be an armory.

Behind you lies the door to the trapped hallway. To the right of you is another door, unlocked. To the left of you are weapon bins containing lead-copper spears. On the far wall there are three chain-mail shirts. They look flimsy and in poor shape. In the center of the room lies the goblin spearcarrier, who has committed ritual seppuku (using his entire spear?!). You may loot his iron spear, if you think you can remove it from his body.

"Seems odd that he would run away then kill himself." Swiftwind moves to the goblin carefully checking for coin pouches while keeping her bow pointed at the closed door.

~
and I don't mind a fast pace, but it leads to questions when people get skipped(usually being what did I do during the time that other person was doing this), and I worry that I miss something by not checking every few mins.

Agh, I worry about that too. I mean, Rothgar's still in the cell for god's sake! How's he gonna react when he finds out the progress you guys have made?

OKAY.. I've got an idea. ESTABLISHING SESSION SHCEDULE

The Session will officially run any time from 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm PACIFIC TIME (Universal Coordinated Time minus Eight Hours).

Outside of this time the thread can still be used for questions, discussion, and character creation (if currently permitted).

"We Goblin hold honor as a high priority, it's what separates us from the ferals." said Raith, as he took the coins, the key, and the axe. He continues to follow the elves, putting a broken piece of masonry next to the door to keep it from closing.

It would appear that both of our elves are Offline! It would be rude to continue without them.
(Let's assume Jorn, Rothgar, and Dwarzga are still in the Trapped Hallway, near the door)
soo....

END SESSION FOR TONIGHT

Next Session will begin 3:00 pm PST on Tuesday March 2nd.

Great Game so far! I'm proud of how this is turning out.
besides, I gotta have time to draw more tiles if we wanna fight anything besides goblins...

the session times last from 11pm to 6:30 am for me. On weeknights this could be a problem.

Unforunately, this forum game looks really good, and I would like to still be a part of it. Would it be possible to post what actions I can, and surrender control of my character to whoever is online when I am not?

also, for the next turn:
Try to break down the door. If possible, sneakily and silently wander around the hallway beyond, but try to avoid any fights. If in a fight, and outnumbered, run away. If the door cannot be broken down, join the others.

sorry Ed, we are not currently accepting new players!

(New people will be able to join once the party escapes the orc cave. Which should be pretty soon, depending on how competent they are...)

THIS WAS FIXED LATER IN THE THREAD

Too bad about the time zone differences. Although your idea about suggested actions might make a solution to this problem.

I'm pretty open on being here. I have no life really *sobs* But I would request an in game reason for people not always being here, maybe an artifact or something that the group has, or an npc that switches players in and out of time, or something...

Also, have I found any coins(or other valueables) on the suicidal goblin yet?

We're all narcoleptic.
Also, I swipe everything from Silverwind, knocking her over to loot what is rightfully my kill. I take everything.
