Bah, so much for a surprize attack. I ready an arrow, and keep my eyes peeled on that door, ready to put a bolt between the eyes of anything agressive that comes through.

If any goblins come, I use charm on the dumbest looking one. I also use Silverwind as cover.
((EDIT: I realize I did not give a great physical description. Slender, with long yellow blonde hair. Red lips, a rather thin, short mouth. A small nose, centered. Thin wisps of eyebrows that are in such a relation to the eyes as to seem like Próthaa has something up her sleeve.

Xabz has not ben actively participating, SO he is retroactively not part of the party. I will find a way to  introduce him later. (I know Xabz IRL, He'll be cool with this)

>_< "Aaah, crap" Raith yelled, as he hit his forehead for such stupidity. he quickly rushed over to the lever, careful to stop step on a pressure plates, and ripped the cover off to see the mechanics inside "Please let this work, please let this work" he spoke to himself, looking for anyway to disarm it.

The trap is between the lever and the trapdoor, you know...
I'm not sure rushing headfirst is the best idea.

Ready charm and move one square closer to trap. Make sure not to stand on trap.

Or, you know, it could be the whole room.

he quickly rushed over to the lever, careful to stop step on a pressure plates

That's gonna take an agility check or something...

ROLLING D6: results = 5

Raith deftly strides over the pressure plates. Barbed Spikes rise up from the plates with each step! But he is too fast for them, and amazingly, he survives. Now on the other side of the trap, He starts to work on the lever mechanism!

Rolling D6: results = 1

Raith tears a panel off of the lever, which comes apart, spilling gears and cogs all over the floor. The machine is thrown off-balance, and the hall comes alive with the sound of screeching metal as the spikes rapidly rise and fall from the pressure plates. The machinery jams, freezing the Spikes in place. They reach as high as the cieling, trapping Raith on the far side of the hall (the side with the door).

The rest of the party is still near the trapdoor.

SUGGESTIONS

try to fix the trap or at least lower the spikes
Bar the door with something before the goblins gather reinforcements

Ready charm and move one square closer to trap. Make sure not to stand on trap.

We are not in combat yet, stop talkin' about squares.

Description for whats-his-face: Blond hair, blue eyes. White vestments with a purple stripe running down them. Pale skin. Also try to pull down the spikes/ see how strong they are.

"This is clearly not the exit. Hmm..."
Próthaa examines the barbed spikes.

You are unable to move the spikes, though when you apply pressure to them you can hear a gear within the lever mechanism shift in its socket. Perhaps it is caught on something.

Try to pick at the gear though the hole in the floor where the spike comes up.

The gear is in the lever mechanism, only Raith can reach it.

The spikes are made of metal, right?
