also search for anything explosive, gasoline, propane, grenades :D then hide.
There is nothing other than broken concrete and metal around you, so you hide under a slab of concrete, waiting for the bandits to pass. Sure enough they walk past you, and they didn't even notice that you were there.

You crawl out from under the slab to find a massive surge of mutants coming from the direction that the bandits came from, heading right towards you.

Follow the bandits and if we catch up with them, convince them to help us fight the mutants.

You tell your squad to quickly grab everything and sprint towards Huge Ben, something is going down here. You see the mutant horde scrambling through the broken streets and over ruined buildings as you dart from cover to cover, hoping that you are too small a target for them. You find yourself running down an alley, holding on to your supplies for dear life as you look behind yourself and see a small group of mutants catching up with you.

Get chas behind us, he can't take more dmg,  spray some assault gun fire, then run hopeing their injuries will let us escape.

You tell Chas to keep running while the three of you stop and shoot the oncoming mutants.  Chas rins forward and you and yourr teammates take aim at the monstrosities and open fire. Half of them drop like flies so you quickly reload and start firing again. Once they're finished off you catch up with Chas.

They are mutants, they have nothing.

Keep heading to Huge Ben. Quickly.

If they have anything valuable, take it. Even mutants need sustenance.

Otherwise, move to Huge Ben. If no other mutants find us, move stealthily. If they do find us and notice us, try to run away.

I agree if the *may* have had anything of use aka food/water head back, grab and run, if they were naked screaming monstrosities keep heading to Big Ben.

You check back on the mutants, calling to Chas to come back, and take anything useful from them. You find some 9mm ammo on them and a few shells. Ahh, yes, shells, shells are the currency you use on this island and in a few other places around the world. One shell is about equivelant to a pound. You have no clue how they came to be a currency, though, it was probably just a whimsical thing started by a few civvies. You continue onwards towards Huge Ben and the sun is just setting when you find your path blocked by a small pack of mutants. The only problem is one doesn't seem the same as the others, he's much smaller but with a rather large head.

I say we hide and watch, to determine if the smaller one is freind or ally, if he needs help, blow the larger mutants away.
