« on: February 28, 2010, 12:47:36 am »

a short art(ish?) game:

Played it.

Good for wasting time, or just relieving some boredom.

I liked it. I for one wish more people made "arty" games like this.

I usually hate games like this, but this one was actually pretty good.

That was a very good one.  Someone on their comments claimed that you didn't have enough time to get attached to the character--but I think that just makes the point stronger.

Does life have an endpoint that isn't death, eventually?

I mean, you can stand around and not do anything, but that might be missing the point.

I'm not asking a philosophical question here. I'm asking a question about the game, which Il Palazzo answered well.

You probably feel bad, like you didn't accomplish anything with your life before you died.

In terms of game mechanics, nothing special.

Let's see...

Decent music, check.
No story besides an implied one, check
Sad or melancholy if you're a weak-minded nancy, check
Little or no gameplay, check
Highly stylized visuals, check
Nonsense phrase at the end that's supposed to make you ponder, check

Yeah, it's an art game.  Bleh.
