lol well my reasoning is:

A) first someone's done it in ANY of my forts with any burn marks.
B) I felt like it  ;D
C) it was pretty cool to me...he loped one to bits and broke both the others hands and right arm before planting his axe in the things gut.

If you hit a dwarf with moving water with sufficient strength it will knock the baby out of the mother's arms.  The water can then be used to sweep the baby into a well or cistern for drowning.  The device which does this can also double as a mist generator.

If you get him on some more ass-kicking, the dwarves will give him a name when they feel he's earned it. It might be really cool or it might be lame; usually I take the coolest element of the long-winded dwarven name and rename the dwarf that. I don't like to see 30-character names about cyclones of cleaning and such in my menus.

The plan to let him forge his own name has won out it seems. Thanks and +Dwarven Ale+ to all those who played.
