Wait, so that wasn't a DF reference?
« on: February 26, 2010, 09:37:45 pm »

Last week, when I was on the bus, I saw a guy with a shirt (evidently for a construction company) that said, "We know how to make the bedrock! Oh Schist!" Of course, I immediately thought of DF.

What are some things that make you think of DF? Don't try to deny it, it happens to the best of us.

It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.

"Roy has boobies!"

I saw Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves playing in an electronics store a few days ago, and I stopped to watch for a few minutes. It really struck me how "childish" the Dwarves acted: fighting over the food, ect.

When I saw the scene when they washed up before dinner, I immediately thought of the Dorf Shorts "SOOOOOAP!" Got a nice chuckle out of that.

One of my favorite sets.  I combined it with a multi-colored castle I built.  Naturally I played out an adamantine scenario with it.

And this is how tinned food was invented.
Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

I'm doing a degree in Geology. Everything reminds me of Dwarf Fortress.

The mark on the sleeve implies a simple google search for "Three Panel Soul". Navigating to store from that site and then having a look around leads to this:
