Anyway, I'd like to add that The Bulletin probably isn't very reliable. They seem to be a fan of loudly yelling, absurd articles with vague citations and media advertisement tie-ins.

I've come across so few non-crazy fundies (which is to say, none) that being crazy is part of my personal set of rules for defining who are fundies.  There are probably fundies that aren't crazy, but either most of them are really quiet about it, or there really are very few of them.

The ones I've come across make religion look bad, which makes me sad.

Side note: I'm pretty sure not even all religious fundamentalists are as crazy as the ones we see. I can't help but wonder if it's just a few stupid ones giving them all a bad rap.

Not all religious fundamentalists are crazy. Presumably hardcore Buddhists are pretty agreeable folks. Christian Fundamentalists believe everything said the bible to be the literal, irrefutable words of God, which is a precarious principle to operate on when trying to appear reasonable.

Roman Catholic here who does not care. But I'm agreeing with Sensei. Not all Fundies are crazy. There are plenty crazy, but many who are sane.

I'm just saying that by definition, a Christian Fundamentalist (as opposed to just a Christian), believes the bible to be the literal and true in every regard. Whether that falls into your definition of crazy is a matter of personal outlook.

I hate it how these guys (and all special interest groups in general) always blow small details out of proportion and conveniently forget anything that disproves their argument (for example, that fact that there's a good choice path in Dente's inferno). They're like those trolls that disregard your argument because you made a single spelling error.

The worst part about "fundies" is that they think the world revolves around them. Any reference to demons, gods, angels ect. they automatically think that it's talking about their version of them.

Bah, lets get back to the way The Gods used to be where if you didn't sacrifice a plump juicy goat regularly you where just asking for disaster. honestly most Fundamentalist whether crazy or not are quiet about it. the problem is that the way the media works nowadays if one person yells that they think so and such a thing is evil incarnate the media will focus on them instead of the billions of others saying otherwise. The mass medias goals are closer to that of Trolls instead of what they used to be.

It not the fact that they are vocal so much, because others are vocal, its the fact that they are Crazy and Vocal. Someone shouts "God loves you!" and no one cares but if someone shouts "Your all going to Hell!" and every ones head's turn.
