I like ASCII but I want to have just a character set

so what if i wanted to keep the background(grass, floors, walls, etc) as ASCII but change the way animals and dwarves look.... can i do this?

Clarification: A tileset modifies what the game uses for tiles/lettering etc (which are currently subject to shared use by both certain ingame objects and the actual tiles themselves - e.g. the tile for "O" is used both as the letter O and a pillar), whereas a graphics set modifies the look of specific creatures and entity positions. The two are distinct.

Hence, the graphics set repository. It's also entirely possible to just install the Mayday pack and use the graphics but not the tileset.
