Best Site for looting?
« on: February 24, 2010, 02:11:52 am »

What are your favourite sites for looting?
What's the best way to make money? I can't afford to outfit a full squad with AKs...

If you can manage, try stealing from the downtown apartments. If you can get the CEO's safe open, that's pretty lucrative too.

You might also try asking for donations once your squad has made the news a few times.

Looting? lol.

Donations make cash, writing makes headlines and being naughty gets people to like you. When you get a tailor, get them to make a few expensive suite's and then your set.

Basically, start small. Too many people to feed = no cash. Secoundly, don't use huge squad's if your cash is low. If 1 person can do the job and the other 5 can be sitting at home asking for donations, don't bring the others along too.

Start with pistols. You don't have to be great with them. Kill some people and make the news.
Next, go out and get some prostitutes. Great persuasion.
Either get there Juice up or leave them be, then go for donations. Get them some fancy clothes IF your budget allows. Sit back for a week or 2, then hit the news again. You should start making lots of cash now.

Hmmm... so, asking for donations beats out making T-shirts, or selling music? ... ok. So that was what I was doing wrong... Bah.

And here I was thinking hand-outs wouldn't amount to much.

Yeah, it's pretty expensive upkeeping this huge LCS. Sigh.

T-Shirts ect suck because you have to pay for a large part of the amount you get back. Donations however are free and can earn lots if you keep yourself in the news.

I normally train one liberal in lockpicking, until he/she/it reaches level 5 or 6 in security, then I get a police uniform for this squad and let it loot the courthouse/police station/CEO residence.
This way I earn around 1500$ the week. I somehow don't manage to get enough money with donations or music-selling  :-\

I got a screenshot with 25k a month from donations and more from my sleeper cops giving me guns and body armour to sell.

Sleeper cops are well worth it. All my gun squads have SWAT body armour and gun controls are L+ and they still have AK's ect.

How many people asking for donations does it take to reach 25k per month??? wow!

Yeah, the shirts suck. BADLY. jon seems to have coded it so that on like 2-3 tailoring, your workers actually LOSE money every day selling those T-shirts. I think. That makes no sense...

I had 5 with expensive suites and great stats and then like 7 people just with clothes and standard stats.

Yes, donations is currently better than shirts or music, which is lame. I want to make shirts, music, and art more viable.

Really? I always thought selling music was great. Maybe its just when you get hippies with 20 music, entire squads of conservatives tremble before your musical might.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

Music is not bad, actually, since there's no overhead. It's the other two, where you're charged for supplies, that are really bad. I'm totally going to remove the overhead, it's vaguely interesting but doesn't make the game more fun, and at a certain point, as jasonred79 points out, it doesn't even make sense.

I hope business can still increase the profit, and think that liberals without tailoring/art should not be able to actually make money off these tasks.
