I've also thought lightning would be a good thing for Dwarf Fortress, I'm pretty sure this has been said a thousand times but just bringing it back up.

It would be a nice thing you can't predict ahead of time and not preparing for it would be disastrous, that is, if you live in the forest.  Hehehehe.

Do we have a general estimate?

No.  They don't set release dates or give release estimates.  There is no official projection whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure this is on the eternal suggestion vote.

In the past when Toady has tried to do this, it has always been wrong. It made Valve release dates look on time.

He was asking about the podcast, which we've never, ever set a release date for.  I appreciate fan enthusiasm but, as I state every month, it'll be out when it's done.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Rainseeker McInterviewer has been overwhelmed at life lately.  He has been upset about losing a job lately.  He was excited about buying a bird breeding business lately.  He was happy for eating a bagel with cream cheese lately.  He was upset about arguing with a spouse lately.  He was happy about making up with a spouse lately.  He has been feeling bad for procrastinating about editing a podcast lately.  He has been feeling bad for procrastinating about creating Dorf Shorts lately.  He has apologized to the Dwarf Fortress community lately.

Ready?  Okay:

2 pairs green cheek conures
1 pair jenday conures
3 pair cockatiels
2 pair turquosines
1 pair parrotletts
1 pair mountain quail... just kidding

Yes, my own personal Ark Project!  :)

If you live in northern California and want a baby from me, let me know.  We should have babies from the jendays soon.

You should breed Pionus as well. They make great apartment birds because they are usually very quiet. Not great talkers, but nice birds anyway.

I'll be expanding after I get the hang of it and move to a new place.  But yeah, Pionus would go well with my little flock.

Breeding parrots is actually a good business. African Grey Parrots go here for 1000 Euro (roughly 1350 US-Dollar) per bird.
