He he, I saw that but i did not look in my own inventory. :P

I am going to try to make some blue root potions and than apply them to sickies.

If I cure the ones who are only out for today can they get some working hours in later?

Can I start up a second character, who gains skills???

I have an idea...
Get islanders churning out 10 or so Wooden Staves, then spar one another in both wrestling (hand to hand) then with the Wooden staves. We get us a Militia...

A militia wouldn't be any more effective than you guys training weapon skills.
They're now separate from regular skills and you can specialize in two weapons.
That means you can have:
5 civilian skills
2 weapon skills

Arbitrary day chosen for archival purposes and such.
RESULTS DAY 14
Cryptfiend creates 6 blue root potions.
He uses these potions to heal the six villagers.
It magically works because I'm too lazy to screw with numbers and such right now.
Crypt gains 130 healing XPs and there are now 44 healthy villagers.
5 villagers gather some herbs for Crypt.
 - 16 kg blue root
 - 16 kg colour leaves
 - 16 kg herb 3
 - 16 kg herb 4
 - 16 kg herb 5

Matis gathers 23 grams of shiny stones.

Luke crafts -#knife#-, =.knife.=, -=knife=- for 60 weaponsmithing XPs.
He also catches 2 crabs with his traps and fishes for 6 fish.

Dances with Clams acquires 3.3 kg of clam meat and .33 kg of clam shell for 160 XPs.

Kyrby catches four pidgeons and 1 fish.

Nanoth farms and acquires 4 units of farmland for 80 farming XPs.

Builders this round:
38 villagers - helluva lot of kg
ein - 16 kg
Nanoth - 7 kg
Kadzar - 16 kg
Grey - 16 kg

Buildings complete:
Hut, Granary, 2 Workshops.

Sorry for the spartan, sorta late post with crappy numbers and such.
This first one is more for getting my bearings and stuff.

I actually thought "+10% effectiveness per skill level above Dabbling" was pretty elegant.

But this works too.

I'll stop doing the math.

Oh and I think we need to stop splitting villagers between the hut and the workshop. Finish one, work on the next. The workshop is closest to getting done, so ...

(Out of 39 healthy villagers)
3 finish workshop and blow the rest of their day working on the hut
20 hunt pigeons
10 gather bamboo
2 cook
1 makes ropes
3 work the farm

I meant how he grouped skills into Weaponsmithing, Healing, etc. I thought that was a very simple way to classify the "larger" skills.

I say we get the Hunters to look for bigger pray, like things with hides we can dry and tan...

Farm then Cook... 3:2

I need to refine the building thing a bit...
5x is a bit much for islanders, I'll give 2x for now.
Anyway, the buildings I mentioned in my last post were all built and such.
Free buildings. Yay!

I'll stick with the percentages for some of them most likely.
It doesn't make much sense with things like building and weaponsmithing where it's all or nothing, but some of the others, like clam gathering, use decimals, allowing for percentage increments.

So are the traps reusable?

Make a snare and set it some place. Make an axe, then spend the rest of the time looking for those shiny rocks.

Yeah, traps are reusable.
One hour to first set a trap, one hour to check and reset up to 4±2.
If that's confusing, don't worry about it.
The ±2 just gives a margin so that you don't spend another whole hour because of one stupid little trap.

Matis' Actions:
  • Spend 8 hours gathering vines.
  • Spend 8 hours making ropes.

Islanders Actions (by LeoLeonardoIII):
  • 3 finish workshop and blow the rest of their day working on the hut
  • 20 hunt pigeons
  • 10 gather bamboo
  • 2 cook
  • 1 makes ropes
  • 3+1 work the farm

Just noticed that building was removed from our islanders, yet you can gain building exp from building. Starting from zero with it or what? And now that I see gathering is not a skill why gain exp from it?
And I just saw that you are still refining the skills. Good luck.

Perhaps someday I may gain exp from building.

Oh well. Anyway, I am going to spend the next 16 hours building a healer's shack for Cryptfiend. Perhaps, out of gratitude, he may share some of his herbs or potions? I wouldn't mind a bit of Colour Leaf.  ;D

Oh man Kadzar and his Colour Leafe. Just can't get him off that stuff.  ;)

(I should be at Proficient Hunter: 30/150 at the start of this turn)

Dances With Clams: 16 hours gathering clams. As a Proficient (+50%).

Forgot to update XPs, doing that now.

I think he meant a "hospital" or what ever can pass as such on this island. Also I am torn between being a "good" doctor or a "shady" doctor.

Ether way I will Identify the herbs and make one potion out of each, give the potions to some people to see what they do and than make the rest of the herbs into potions.

Fake Edit: Ninja by ein shack is in the second post now.
