You can't date them with 20 seduction? That's too tough. I have fond memories of forming squads by dating agents.

Oh, it might just be a seduction cap issue, in that case. Do their rejections say it's about dating other people, or are they just saying things won't work out?

Darn, it's just a balance issue then. That's the answer that's tougher on me.  ;D

If you find an agent alone, you can always try shooting it a few times before doing a standard (non-dating) kidnapping attempt. Even if the target is armed, enough damage and you'll be able to take them without a fuss.

After trying to date 15 agents a lot of the time paying $100 to move the night along, I conclude that theres something wrong with Agents.

Or it's just my unlucky day.

Dang those agents and their silly thing called class

As for a balancing method... Why not include subsequent dates or a whole dating scene? Hmm then again that could just slow the game down seriously.

I mean who wants to actually go into the game, select a restaurant, taste wine to impress the date, Use the knowledge skills as conversation pieces for bonuses, find a fancy shmancy hotel, and then make them your slave forever?

I dunno, that kind of stuff is in the old dev notes from before Toady stopped working on the game. Bear in mind that LCS was always designed more from the perspective of the immersive adventures of the first-time player, rather than the jaded perspective of the veteran who really just wants to optimize all these keystrokes away so they can crunch through the game. Of course, ideally it should serve both.

I actually have little-no idea of what I actually said so I don't exactly know what your responding to.  :-[

Hmmm, ok I see what you are saying. Personally I like the idea of a dating scene despite what I wrote (???). I wonder how it would work though I wonder if this is the topic to have that discussion in.

What would be cool is chosing what u can talk to people about and there response being based on what the public opinion is of the said subject and what they do.

Wh... wh... what?
Even when I first played LCS, it was a relatively complex game, where you weren't sure how to go about the game. It's current incarnation though, is a new player nightmare. Even the Let's Play done by valcon/ jefmajor  was fairly.... how do I put this? He quotes himself as "I'm not the best lcs player, nor am I the worst, but I know enough to have fun and make it entertaining, so, please join me, and Let's Play Liberal Crime squad!". but a lot of the time, he has little idea what he is doing, and never seems in any danger of winning the game.
The manual for the game is based on a MUCH simpler version of the game. That old version was a lot more "not sure what you're doing? Just bungle along. You'll win eventually. Probably." This current version, I would guess that 80% of new players will end up not making rent due to cash flow problems, will be unable to turn a kidnap victim into a sleeper, will have problems gaining juice... etc etc.

Well jefmajor's lets play is awsome, putting it simple. It show's how you don't have to understand every little detail of a game, or spend hours looking through wiki's to find the much needed answers.

I've won the game without CSS, but I think jefmajor broke his rule of never letting the leader do crimes. Im in 2018 now, not a great win by any chance, but I haven't spent hours trying to work out the game. Jefmajor had some great idea's that he didnt stick too.
