Reviving Crimea's wonderful cause!
« on: February 21, 2010, 06:46:19 pm »

For anyone who remember Crimea is back with a vengeance. We are going to be running with the same Google Earth and other assorted details as I have done in the past, but no lollygagging, the Crimean people themselves are on the warpath, deny them at your peril. For those of you who don't remember..

Ok, you are a small Rebel faction that has successfully liberated it's Home territory in Crimea. You have a total of 10 T45s and 7,000 Militant Militias. You also have a group of 30 elite soldiers. Recently, The people of Crimea have wanted more land, more Resources and a bigger military. The only way you can do this is by invading more land off of your neighbors.

The rules:

* Each turn is 1 day long.

* The only way you can get money is through Taxes. You start up with an    average income of $400 a day. You can buy resources, weapons and technologies from other countries.

Starting Conditions:

Relationships;

Russia: Friendly (Trading)
Ukraine: Unfriendly (Trading)
EU: Neutral (No Trade Relations)

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)

Reenact all the actions in the previous Crimea thread.

Except immediately attack Ukaraine after you  made all the equipment orders.

No Phantom, Crimea needs something different in order to succeed in 1991 (aha, didn't see that one coming did you, its set 19 years ago.) I'm going to be a lot harsher this time round, so if Ukraine sees foreign military transport ships heading into the area, it's gonna get angry and cut off trade routes.

Sigh.

Put an order for 15 Israeli Galils and 15 French FAMASs. And 20 AMX-30 Main Battle Tanks.

Send a strike force of 500 Rebels to Ukraine or Georgia.

I don't get how you guys can just bust out with specific types of troops and tanks and stuff. I only know a tiny bit from a specific tiny slice of history and that's from playing WW2 games.

I couldn't even get into this the slightest bit because it's too intimidating. So how do you guys do it?

From what I know, we are not Germany. And the Paladin tank does not exist.

...
That is a howitzer.
Completely different than a tank.
I think a WW1 style tank would just drive circles around it.
And blow it up.

It wouldn't blow it up. WW1 ammunition couldn't do much before the rotating 8-foot barrel launched a deadly explosive to tear the WW1 tank asunder.
