Megabeasts / Semi-Megabeasts Breeding During World Gen?

If I give megabeasts / semi-megabeasts the tag to enable breeding, will they be able to do it during world gen? And will it effect the amount of megabeasts about ( and therefore slow down the loss of the percentage of megabeasts )?

Or will it do nothing during world gen?

With Child:20 I am playing a fort in year 80 something of the Age of Myth.  There was a fight between the dwarven caravan and some frogmen and a Green Dragon won it.  Usually the age of Myth ends in 20-40 years.   

Looking at legends though, I haven't seen any dragons that had offspring.  I guess no pain and modded bodies is really what does it.
