OK, stop derailing the thread.

For some reason, I never had DF dreams, but DF influenced other dreams a lot (more dwarves there, got magma, some cave adventures with gians and cyclops... Lots of stuff).

Last night I dreamed that I couldn't fall asleep.  That was frustrating.  My most memorable game dream was the night after I first played Everquest, back in '99.  There were kobolds.  That's pretty much all that's lasted these 11 years.

I tend to have those not-quite-dreams where you think about stuff in a dream-like manner but are fully aware of what you're thinking. One of my favourites was having a goblin set on fire by a hovering whale covered in pustules.

I dreamt about DF just the other day...sort of. I started out as a short middle aged man with a wife and kids. Pretty  normal life, with one glaring exception; I drove past an interdimensional portal on the way to work everyday. One day, dwarves came through in full battle regalia and more or less laid waste to my home city. I survived somehow, got mad as hell, and went through the portal and waged a three year war against them, teaming up with elves goblins kobolds and humans, eventually winning though that was more to do with the dwarves flooding their fortresses with magma and such. I then went back to my home dimension to find a garrison of dwarves making humanoid autamatons out of beef. Then I woke up.

In my dream, it was like the 30th year of this fortress and someone went back to the embark wagon and found a copper pick lying under the wheel that nobody ever picked up. He proclaimed himself a miner and went on to dig a highway to nowhere. I saw a bunch of dwarves shoving plants into barrels.

Some people was cool. Df 1 week, I can easily say the dream of a new version. My dream Bakkusuteshonwagon, Fort Hoirupikkuappupikkuappu 30 copper mine, will be revealed to him, our nation and our people. I saw a bunch of plants Dowafubareru was demoted.

I haven't dreamt about the new version yet, but once I dreamt of playing the current version, and with the same fortress I was playing earlier that night... Eventually an orc siege was sent and I quit because I had an OH SHIT moment when I realized I had no military. Afterwards I thought I actually HAD a siege and I waited 4 or 5 days before I played again because I was dreading it... I opened up DF and when I saw there was no siege I immediately constructed a military.
