Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

> Hide your ascent with the Glyph of Invisibility. Keep refreshing it until you enter a safe-looking nook within the city.

You try to shield yourself with a Glyph of invisibility to pass the bridge unnoticed. You calculate that you'll need at least two to cover the distance. (Magic: Glyphs) (Glyph of Invisibility) (13-20=-7) (-7>15) (-7<0) (Critical Failure!)

Your spell backfires and frazzles you after only a few steps, sending a bolt through your body and burning your hand. Additionally, you seem to have triggered alarms in the city, and you head high-pitched shrieks bounce around the cavern. Through your careless use of magic, you have probably alerted the whole city to your presence.

When the guards come, tell them you are just trying a new dance move.

"Having faith" that the bridge will not fall, implies that the bridge itself isn't that trustworthy. It's not that different from "I pray that the bridge will hold my weight."

That sounds absolutely retarded.
Do it.

I'm guessing, what with the twitching, we'll probably trip and go over the edge, but anyways.

((Right. Now that I've worked out a lot of the inconsistencies in my system, this can go on. May I also encourage the use of spells with several glyphs? It would make things more interesting.))

> Run, full pelt, towards the tower.

You don't have any animal skins to use, so you run really fast instead. A number of the insectoids are approaching from the other side, numbering at about thirty. You run faster, and you trip over an unknown object. You are now on the bridge, face down.

What do you do?

You'll find the list a few pages back. I stopped pasting the whole status when I realised it was too long.

Actually, what about Ball + Shields... At them? Anyone here good at 10-pin?

That depends on how closely packed they are. There's also the chance they have counter magic if they have magic detection.

> [(Ball rune + expansion rune) + projectile rune] at them.

This will probably kill us, considering our magic rolls.

Has that ever stopped us before?
