Invisibility fails because we have no self to cast the spell on.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Are you suggesting we drop a fireball at our own feet?

Yes, it's not suicidal considering the circumstances.

I still vote for some kind of meditation or imagination.

Maybe try to go to sleep: if we can dream of something that's more interesting than this void, we can at least maintain some sort of sanity.

We are working with elder gods. Sleep will be nightmares.

Sorry for confusing you: Glyphs are not physical. They are a mixture of diagrams, symbols, trains of thought, emotion, magic etc. This is how you can use them when bound, gagged, paralyzed and so forth, although he gestures and words certainly do help.

It's not so much memorising symbols and methods from a textbook; you get a basis and guide, then go from there and interpret it into something that works for you. And so, all glyphs look slightly different and one can't simply "copy" someone else's glyph on the spot.

While activated, they can sometimes manifest as glowing symbols made of light amongst other things.
> Cast a glyph of invisibility on self, to ensure safety.

You can't move or do anything except think, unfortunately. You fail.
So how could this fail then?  I'm confused.

Edit: Also, on a scale of 100, how was the movie?
Even if you were to know that you currently exist (which you don't, having no senses to know it with), you'd still be paralyzed, and you're still not good enough with magic to be able to do it without gestures and words.

The movie was good but not as good as the last one (which is still really good, as the other one was amazing, at least to me). I'd give it an 85, maybe even 88. I'd recommend it.

> Then meditate. Concentrate on childhood memories, remember our friends, and family, and that annoying, but kinda cute girl next door. Remember our first kiss, then proceed to remembering more... Intime contact. Then drive the numbness away. WE CAN FEEEEEEELLL!!!

You begin trying to recollect your memories. It is surprisingly difficult, but eventually, you manage it, going into a meditative state. You emerge calm and eager, and when you
open your eyes once more, you find yourself...

...

In bed, with your blanket up to your neck. You are back in the house you lived in for most of your childhood, together with your parents and your elder brother. The sun is shining outside, and you hear the faint twittering of birds. The scent of summer bloom is in the air, and you suddenly feel happy and jolly. Your brother comes in, slightly out of breath and barefoot, and yells at you to follow him.

Jump up and ask him what's going on.

You jump up and out of bed and ask him what is happening than the wants your attention for. He simply laughs and runs away with a smile on his face. You notice that you are now 10 years old. You also remember, vaguely, that something happened here, in this house. It doesn't feel quite right.

Run to kitchen, greet mother. Ask if we can go out and play.
