Massage own head in attempt to allieviate headache, and play with food to entertain self. (eat enough food and drink enough water to satisfy hunger and thirst first)

> Massage own head in attempt to allieviate headache

You massage your head. It feels nice, and your headache has disappeared somewhat.

> Eat food

You eat the food. You are now no longer hungry. You let out a small burp.

> Play with food to entertain self.

You try to play with it, but there is no food. You see a nurse coming down the corridor to your room. She is opening the door.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

She comes in, and you greet her. She ignores the compliment and says,

"There's some men here to see you. Should I let them in?"

Pointing to three men in black tuxedos and slick haircuts. Their eyes are obscured by opaque black sunglasses and their faces are blank.

Decapitate the men, slice them up and fuck their intestines.

Wait...

Well, yeah. Let them in, preparing to defend yourself at a moment's notice.

First, though, pick a number from 1 to 3. First post is the number.

(Situation 2 Chosen.)

> Allow her to let them in, but be prepared to cast spells at any moment.

The men come in and bring out their pistols, and point them at your head. All the windows suddenly become frosted and opaque, and you get the feeling that nobody outside will know this has happened. The men tell you in a monotonous voice,

"We cannot allow someone like you to be here. Therefore, you shall be terminated. Have a good day."

(Reflex Roll) (44-15=29) (29<50) (Failure!)

They pull the trigger and blow your brains out, painting the whole room with your blood. You are dead.

(Death Roll) (86) (86>50) (86>75) (Critical Success!)

As a result of good fortunes in death, your spirit has been summoned elsewhere. You body and soul is intact, but all your possessions are forfeit. Please avoid future deaths, for you may not be as lucky.

...

...

...

After what seems like an eternity, or perhaps simply a moment, your soul has been fetched out of the ether by an unknown being. You find yourself in the middle of a circle of chanting priests, praying toward the heavens. The ground around you whines white, and many miniature motes of light dance within the circle. Two priests in training quickly come behind you, straining not to make eye contact, and place white robes decorated with delicate golden lace upon your body. The clergy stops chanting and all of them kneel and bow towards you. The head priest raises his head just high enough to look upon you and says,

"O great angel of the One, please help up from our dire situation. There has been a great uprising of rebels who have split from the Great church and refuse to be ruled. They have in recent times grown in numbers, and now they intend to invade our grand capital city! We are fewer in numbers and as a result of the rebels' sabotage we are cut off from fresh water and low on food and equipment. we implore upon you, O great angel, to assist us in defending ourselves from these rebels."

Seriously though, try not to die too often. If you get a super critical failure, which as you've seen happens more than is welcome, you'll die permanently and this adventure will be over.

Ask for what equipment they can spare, and if they know anything about magic... Act however we believe an angel to act, of course. Wouldn't want them to believe they contacted the, um, wrong entities.
