I say leave him here for the moment, and seek a second point of view.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

There is only the door under the man. You are wary of what lies beyond.

> Pull lever

As you approach the lever however, the chains of the man's limbs tighten. They become ever shorter as you continue, and the man grunts with effort. You stop moving (you are around 1/5th of the way), and the chains stop stretching him, and he lets out a yelp. It seems that the chains are somehow linked to your forward movement.

What do you do?

Ooh! A puzzle!

Cast Projectile+Ball, aiming for the lever.

> Cast Projectile+Ball, aiming for the lever.

You stop moving, and cast a spell. (Magic: Glyphs) (Glyph of Projectiles + Glyph of Balls) (25-20=5) (5<10) (Failure!)

You make a mistake in the casting, however, and it simply fizzles away. The man seems to be in a lot of discomfort.

((Since the majority seems to be against healing him, it won't be done (probably).))

Is there a stone or some foreign object that we can pelt the guy hit the lever with?
