Eat, drink, fill your packs with food, learn magic, get warm, ask the elf to join you.
We can eat him and his puppy later, in case we run out of food.

You tread carefully, finding the best patch and crossing it. After that, it's easy to get the sword. The sword, when you approach it, looks to be made from steel, or other silvery material. It it remarkably unscathed from any of the elements or the tests of time. The grip is of black leather and silver filigree, and the cross-guard and pommel made of a silvery material, shining with the reflected light of a moon not present, rich and elegant yet strong, and covered with designs of battles of old. A large, glistening red stone is set in the middle of the pommel, gleaming seemingly by its own, as if there was a fire that was glowing from within. The sword is resting on a few rocks.

Nah, I wouldn't risk it.
Well, you could - you're entirely able to do so - but note that this sword is a piece of glittering moonlight descended from the heavens while yours is a lump of rusted metal.
