But we gotta show them that resistance is futile. stop the bastard who's fumbling around with whatever he has before he can pull it out.
(I'm guessing that was one of the secret weapons... thus the pissing of the pants.)

Yup. I wonder.. would a spell using only Projectile glyph be like Magic Missile?

To be on the safe side, incinerate that moron with a fire+projectile spell

Why not projectile+void, to see what void does.

Also, stow away the ornate dagger in belt. The others will be turned into slag/throwing ammo/something

> Ask them why they attacked, calmly.  No power words.

You ask them this, stowing your weapons away. Another rebel appears from behind a tree, and approaches you. He dioesn't seem to be afraid of you at all. He says,

"Why should we tell you, templar? It you and your oppressive kind that we are fighitng against!"

> Quickly cast a spell of fire+ball on the dude who is fumbling. Then, round up all the people, and threaten them with a fate worse than death if they do not cooperate.

As you raise your hand to cast the spell, another rebel appears behind you and puts a knife on your throat. Teh rebel who appeared from the tree says,

"I wouldn't do that, if I were you. Amazing how quickly situations change, eh?"

GRRR

I told you guiz.

Tell them that we're not one of their religious order. Tell the rebels that we are a mercenary, a sword for hire. Also, cooperate with them. If he tells use to drop our weapons, do so. But, the first time he gets far away enough from you, stop time, break his arms and legs, and resume time.

I doubt they would believe we're a mercenary. We're wearing expensive steel armor and silk clothes. Some of the armor likely has the insignia of this place on it.

> Tell them we were summoned here by the templars who think you are here to save them. They gave you this armor to defeat the rebels, but you are unsure of conditions, so you are being overly protective.  You were in the library trying to find out as much as you can about this world in order to make a wise decision on what actions to take next... but you people keep interrupting me!

Alternatively...

> Release me and I'll attempt to heal your men.  I'm just trying to find out why I was summoned to this location by these templars.
> Attempt to heal each one.

We're going back to being sane people? Okay, what Andir said.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.
