> Police don't fire unless they have to, so sheath your sword, put your hands up...then glyph of shields on yourself and glyph of projectiles on yourself. Launch over that wall and let the shields cushion the landing!

Also, would bullets pierce the shield or knock us back with a full body bruise?

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

> Sheath sword

As you move your sword towards your sheath slowly, a nervous and jittery young police officer lets a shot out, which hits you in the left shoulder. The police with the megaphone shouts,

"I said drop your weapon and put your hands behind your head!"

You could not successfully sheath your sword.

Let's try putting down the sword, and then casting shield.

We don't know when or how we will be plane shifted, we don't want to lose that sword, and we wont need to use shield if we drop it.

> Assume your most offended tone. "I'm putting on this theatrical performance when you bastards show up and shoot me? You'll hear from my manager!"

You nag at the police officers in an offended tone and launch into a tirade. (Speech) (65-20=45) (45<50) (Failure!) The police officers argue amongst themselves, but then seem to reach a decision. The man in the megaphone shouts,

"Ha ha, very funny! Now drop your damn weapon and put your hands behind your head, wiseguy!"

> Shields at maximum! Projectile on self to get over wall!

You cast Glyph of Shields quickly (Magic: Glyphs) (99-30=79) (79>10) (Success! 44xp gained!), raising a defensive barrier around you, and use the Glyph of Projectiles to try get yourself over the wall (Magic: Glyphs) (76-30=46) (46>5) (Success! 38xp gained!), which launches you high up into the air. You clear a block this way, before the spell peters out.

You are now in free fall.

Shields up!

If we hit the ground without knocking ourselves out, cast glyph of life on ourselves and attempt to staunch the bleeding.

You think void will negate the fall?

What if we try casting void above us, and fire below us? I mean void would suck air in, and hot air would rise, creating strong upward-blowing wind, slowing down the fall, hopefully.

Edit: Yeah, just realized, we would suffocate in the hot air, and we could fall in there, probably unconscious. It would not be good.

Void above us sounds okay, and shields. Absolutely no fire!
