This is a combination of four player chess and monopoly. The chess boad is here:
And the monopoly board is here:
A list of rents with houses can be found here:
http://www.jdawiseman.com/papers/trivia/monopoly-rents.htmlThe first poster will be yellow. The next will be red, then white, then black. Each player starts with £2000.
How it works:
You must know the rules of monopoly and chess. The following houserules will be played:
-No auctions. If a player does not wish to buy a property, it remains unowned.
-If a player lands exactly on go, they get £400 instead of £200
-You may come up with as many convoluted rules and deals as you want, but you must honour them. The following are not allowed on deals:
--No giving up turns or transferring turns
--Even if you form an alliance with another player, you cannot let them check you.
-Whenever a player loses money to chance, community chest or taxes, then it is placed in the free parking jackpot. The next player to land on free parking gets the entire jackpot.
Each turn, I will roll the dice for all of the players. The players travel that distance on the monopoly board, and take the appropriate actions. If it is something where the sequence is important, then yellow will take first priority, then red, then white, then black.
After this, the players post with their actions. If they choose to buy a property, mortgage, buy houses/hotels or do deals, they do them now. You must also give your move on the chess board. For the chess board, the columns are 1 to 14 left to right and the rows are A to B top to bottom. An example move would be:
B6 to D6
Pawn advances two spacesA player looses when they are checkmated or bankrupted. When a player looses, all their pieces on the board disappear and their proporties are put back up for sale.
Additionally, you may buy and sell pieces. Pieces are bought according to the following chart:
Pawn:£100
Bishop/knight:£300
Rook:£500
Queen:£1000
In order to buy a piece, you must give up the amount of money. The piece is placed at a square of choosing in the 3x8 rectangle you start in. You cannot buy a piece to block check. You cannot move a piece in the same turn you buy it.
