Yes; anything moving two tiles (or more) per frame would be warping, and could potentially travel through walls.

New version needs warp magic. And yes, terrible, terrible things should happen if you get melded with walls.

Making double walls viable and interesting.
Hmm...

Nothing says "Haha, you fail!" like being sliced in half by teleporting into a door.

... Hmm, that's an idea.

Double wooden locked doors. Keeps magma and teleporters out, also, prevents one of them from being jammed by a stray butterfly, potentially ruining your FTW strategy.

Because dwarves are goddamned crazy.
So, basically, it is just a matter of luck whether you live or suffer horrible death... sounds like dwarf fortress.

That adds meaning to "hammer time".

What else can you mess up with super-speed? If you throw something and stay in place, does it move? Can you out-run something you threw? Crossbow bolts?
That would be so awesome. Fire a crossbow bolt, drop the crossbow and pick up your hammer, run over to the enemy and smack them into the crossbow bolt as it's still in the air before the enemy in question knows what the fuck.

Or, *if this were possible, which it presumably isn't*

Find two individuals fighting each other.  Fire a crossbow bolt at one, change your mind, run to said crossbow bolt, grab it out of the air, and stab it into the other.

Well, if fired bolts have the different speed, do thrown items? You could just throw the bolt instead.

Nope, thrown items travel exactly the same speed as fired bolts.

Wait, so firing a crossbow bolt at someone is the same as having a [SPEED:1] dwarf stabbing people with the bolt?

Could you play a game of one-man tennis with an elf as the ball, or do flying people also move at speed 1?

flying people stay in midair until you move, they then shoot away like a lightning bolt, even for someone at speed one, so you can hit em in midair multiple times, but once you move they blow up.
