I have a feeling that this new URL is going to get us a lot of new players. dfwiki.com is for Dragonfable, a popular game that I used to play. I payed for a game made my the same company. When people type .net instead of .com, they'll find US! Get ready for a noob wave, everybody!

To those who said "my bookmark followed suit," no, it did not.   dwarffortresswiki.net has a 301 redirect to the new site, which is an almost instantaneous redirect depending on your browser and network latency.  If you don't change your bookmark, the day my service contract expires with the old host, you'll suddenly find that your bookmark no longer points to anything.

Oh I see, didn't know that. Thanks for the correction. I already fixed my bookmark though.

Thanks to Locriani and bombcar and anybody else I missed for sorting this out.  I'll try to hit all the places on the site and the to-be-released files once it's decided what the link should be.  I guess it could list all the links, but there still needs to be a primary one.

I don't care which one it is; once we determine what the actual link is, I'll update the site to "belong" to whichever proper url is determined to be the "winner".

edit: geez, all of my posts, when read, sound like some angry evil guy SPEAKING DOOM AND EVIL!.

I worry me sometimes. :)

I like dfwiki.net because it's like a nicely abbreviated version of the old URL.  I guess we'll have to have a poll or something.

Well, it is true that df.magmawiki.net sounds cooler, dfwiki.net would be easier to remember.

Honestly, I don't have any real preference for the address tag that is used. Using .org seems a bit overboard though.
