I don't remember the exact AP used on what. I think they gathered one twice and farmed all turn twice.

It takes 1 AP to prepare the soil and 1 AP to plant the berries.
It takes 1 AP to harvest half the crop.

Ah, and 1 AP to perform maintenance and 2 to do a really good job?

Yes.

Planting/Harvesting can be split over multiple turns if needed.

Okay, thanks a bunch!
Er, sorry for all the questions, but can farms only be planted on the plains, or next to a river or whatnot? What sorts of conditions impact farm yield?

Guys, I propose that we set up this farming system:
Turn 1: Gatherers till for 1 AP and plant for 1 AP
Turn 2: Gatherers maintain farm twice for 2 AP
Turn 3: Gatherers maintain farm for 1 AP and gather berries for 1 AP
Turn 4: Gatherers harvest farm twice for 2 AP

That way, we don't gather all the berries out, but we still get some food to supplement our farms.

Drat.
Well, what about the first question, of where farms are possible? That should be legal information, should it not? After all, you told us the same information about berry/wood harvesting and hunting.

The "Farm cycle" looks good but I thought that berrys only took three turns to grow? Do we have to till every time RNG?

Okay, I looked at the previous turns.
Turn 5: Berries planted: 1 till, 1 plant
Turn 6: Gather & tend: 1 farm, 1 gather
Turn 7: Gather & tend: 1 farm, 1 gather
Turn 8: Gather crops
So they take 3 turns to grow, but not counting the turn they are planted, which is a very important distinction.

Since it takes four turns, why not have four gatherers going through the cycle, staggering it so that at least one is harvesting each turn?

Why? That's kind of complicated and hard to do, both for us and RNG, and it has the exact same results as long as we have a good food store.

Right now, only on rivers. Terrain is relevant when considering what crops you're planting.

Berries don't have to be re-tilled or re-planted, because they're bushes. Other crops may need to be re-tilled or re-planted.

Time for the hunters to reunite with the main group, then. Also, we can start up another farm next turn, that'll be good.

C4 Hunters move south twice to C8
B9 Elders and Children pray for a good hunt
B9 Gatherers gather food twice
B9 Hunters butcher deer, then hunt with any time left
D9 Gatherers farm, then gather food
